Unique experience...it's a tried and true. Love their "sushi tacos"
Would I Recommend?
Yes, a bit on the pricy side, but tastes good.
if they ask you if you want miso soup and salad, just know that it’ll cost you $4 per order.

Food was great. Just a warning, the bathroom is not wheelchair accessible even for a smaller individual despite the indication on Google Reviews that it is. We politely asked that it be changed a month ago, but they must have forgotten. Please change it and I will update my review.

Hay Sushi is a gem that offers an unforgettable dining experience with its fusion menu. I’ve always loved sushi, but the addition of creamy miso pasta at this spot blew me away! The miso sauce on the pasta was so rich and comforting, and it had the perfect umami kick. Paired with the fresh, melt-in-your-mouth sushi, it was an unforgettable meal. The cozy, minimalistic interior creates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, and the service is warm and attentive. Highly recommend this place for anyone seeking a fresh take on sushi! 👌💖

Creamy miso pasta always has me coming back to Hay Sushi! Their tendon bowl is also incredible for the volume of food and price point.
Overall, great restaurant with fresh food, but be warned that service can be amiss.

great quality and price for sushi!
I especially love their unagi don - I feel like most places I find the quantity to be a lot smaller for only slightly cheaper
definitely one of my favourite mid prices sushi spots in toronto

Finally gave this spot a try after walking by a few times and it was a good choice. We each ordered a chirashi don and got a roll to share. The pear tea was also delicious.
We found that the fish quality of the chirashi was amazing, especially the tuna! The rice was also well-cooked and seasoned. The only thing that we’d give feedback about is having slightly more rice to be better balanced with the fish and also for the high price tag.
The roll pieces were big and tasted great, but pretty steep pricing for the amount of scallop given.
Overall very satisfied.
Would like to come back to try the pastas and sushi tacos.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I’ve been a customer since 2022, and this place is still the best! The quality of the food is consistently outstanding—fresh ingredients, stunning presentation, and flavours that never disappoint.
The ambience is cozy and inviting, and the tea (homey pear) served in a traditional teapot adds a lovely touch to the experience. While it is on the pricier side, the quality and attention to detail make it absolutely worth it. The service is always warm and attentive, ensuring a great dining experience every time. If you’re looking for fresh, high-quality meals that are as delicious as they are beautiful, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommend and will definitely keep coming back!

This is a restaurant that I go to quite often, however I cannot give it a high rating because of a few reasons. First of all, I have a food allergy but if I ask to substitute the sushi, I have to pay $2. I understand it is the company policy, but having to pay more because of an allergy is inhumane. Also, they just substitute it with salmon sushi which is cheaper than the original and is probably their cheapest fish. I'm not paying the $2 to switch to something of my choice.
Another thing is the price of the sushi is similar to other sushi restaurants, but the size of the sushi is extremely small, so it ends up being more expensive. I do not recommend the sushi sets to people who have a big appetite. The reason I revisit this restaurant often is because I live nearby and it's the best sushi place in my neighborhood.

This is my first time coming and I really enjoyed their sushi. Everything was fresh and tasted good. The sushi taco was also very creative and a good size. Interior was nice and clean, service was okay as well. I would also recommend making a reservation as they do get busy.
Probably the best sushi at this price point in this part of town. Recently moved to a new area so it is renovated nicely. Good place for a date, quality and variety of seafood is above average. Their cooked items (pasta, tempura) are both great as well.
