Food I was very good Service was very poor - the waiter never came to check on us. I noted when I made the reservation that we were here to celebrate a birthday and not one word was said to us when we were seated.

Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. I had been concerned when making the reservation, that the meal would be boring because it's an in-store restaurant. However, thanks to the food, service, ambience and decor, everything turned out great! I look forward to returning and recommending the cafe to my friends. Thanks, Thomas

I took my 95 year old to high tea. It was so disappointing. All the food served was stale and not fresh. The scones were were hard and more than day old. This was quite shocking for Holts cafe as I've dined there many times choosing delicious food off the menu.

Celebrated my sister's birthday here last weekend and the food was delicious and our waiter was excellent. Would definitely come again next time we're shopping at Yorkdale!

It was goood for the most part. Server was great. Food was decent, we got Afternoon Tea 78$ which includes the tax and gratuity. Tea was nice. The sesame rice cake should be changed like it's honestly just crispy rice and theres no meat so eating just rice is like why?? Dark chocolate Tart was not my taste. Wish there was an option of what kind of chocolate we prefer or even preferences in general. Worth trying once

I recently has the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and have to say having Berna as my server was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Throughout the meal, she was always there when we needed but never intrusive or overbearing, and what really stood out to me was her lever of expertise when it came to the menu. She was able to answer all our questions and make excellent recommendation. Looking forward to returning!

Such a cute little spot to have High Tea with your girls! When we received our snacks, we were wondering if it would be enough to fill us up, but it was definitely more than enough and lots of options for tea as well! Would love to come back again soon.

Why were we served Portuguese tarts instead of actual egg tarts for lunar new year high tea? Reservations for 4 but sat at 1 tiny square table when groups of 3 had double the space. Overall it was a cute idea but a poor execution. $340 was not worth what was experienced. Also no strainers for the tea?

Do not go for the Lunar new year afternoon tea. You'll be wasting your money. The service is horrible yet 18% is charged for tip automatically. Maybe that's why the servers didn't even bother. The savoury items were, abeit salty,...fine. But the scones and sweet items(which is 2/3 of the menu) were low quality and borderline edible at best. The clotted cream and butter were completely frozen and not spreadable. Just...don't do it. It's not worth it. Use it to eat somewhere else, anywhere else, instead.

Lunar new yr high tea - advertisement sounded great. But... it was a BIG disappointment At the very least why was the tea COLD/COOL??? Same teapots for both of our tea so upon refill back to throw kitchen they mixed up our teas!! Food was not as shown in their photos!! where is the ???LOBSTER that was suppose to be in our taco???? Did not like the sweets either. Nor their scones. Service was not good yet they automatically add on 18% gratuity— gratuities should be EARNED and not automatic!!! Will now not even go back to try other food in future I use to love their cafe downtown. Went frequently. Unless Yorkdale is not up to par? I wouldn't know because will never go back to this 1 star cafe again. Lots of fantastic Reataurant around the city elsewhere Photo looks better then it actually ) good) was !! Hate it a lot !!

Consistently pleasant and satisfying on every level. Servers are always pleasant and efficient and the food never disappoints. The room is pleasant and comfortable although I would opt for some welcome colourful spring bulb or branches to replace the rather brown dried flowers...a minor criticism! I have lunched here three times in the past two months and will not hesitate to return.

Would actually give it a 4.3 as we had an enjoyable experience with the Lunar New Tear high tea today. Was a bit apprehensive given recent Google reviews but am glad to report we had a pleasant experience. Checked in 5 mins. early for our 12:15 PM reservation and was promptly greeted and seated. Our server was very friendly and explained our high tea spread, tea options and even the hourglass for ideal steep time for our chosen teas. It became much busier after and she was running around between tables but still took the time to periodically check on us. The high tea spread had a lovely Lunar New Year theme, tasty and artfully presented. We really had a relaxing lunch experience, so conveniently located.

Tea service was under whelming. Items were cold/dry. I expected better from Holts. Brunch menu is nothing special. Pancakes were too thick. Food quality so poor I felt like I was at a road side diner not Holts.
