Reserved for 10 people for my birthday brunch and the service was excellent! Thank you, my friends and I enjoyed the place and the food

Food I was very good Service was very poor - the waiter never came to check on us. I noted when I made the reservation that we were here to celebrate a birthday and not one word was said to us when we were seated.

Had a quick coffee, friendly staff, not pushy, very helpful. Offered to make any v variation of any coffee beverage

I like going to the Holts Cafe for an afternoon bite or coffee/tea. I have yet to try their afternoon tea set but will one day as you need to book this ahead of time as I normally head to the Holts Cafe on a whim.

The pancakes and French toast were good.
The breakfast was just ok, nothing special.
The chicken burger was also tasty.

What I like most is the ambience and service.

What an absolutely fabulous experience my group of 17 ladies had for lunch at Holt’s Cafe Yorkdale . I organized a university class reunion and from start to finish the team of Justine,Lee, Irene and others orchestrated perfection. Service, food, presentation and extra special touches were of superb quality. In todays climate , it was so heartwarming to receive their special small acts of kindness. Overall, we were pleasantly surprised by our experience. I had been concerned when making the reservation, that the meal would be boring because it's an in-store restaurant. However, thanks to the food, service, ambience and decor, everything turned out great! I look forward to returning and recommending the cafe to my friends. Thanks, Thomas

Great service from our server! He was really kind and gave us lots of recommendations, he highly recommended the chipotle mayo which was pretty good. The brunch was pretty normal and not bad but just pretty standard 👍🏻

I took my 95 year old to high tea. It was so disappointing. All the food served was stale and not fresh. The scones were were hard and more than day old. This was quite shocking for Holts cafe as I've dined there many times choosing delicious food off the menu.

Burger came without the egg, sadly by the time it arrived, the burger was cold.

The classic breakfast was cold, the home fries were the frozen variety and not what you'd expect from a high end place. The sourdough was the only positive.

The waiter never came to ask if we wanted a coffee top up or check on us at all. The service was definitely lacking, as we would have appreciated something to wash down the horrible potatoes.

We were a party of 6 and it was the worst waste of money ever. We won't be going back.

I ordered the salmon tartine, which is smoked salmon on a piece of sourdough toast with creme fraîche. For $23 I certainly would have expected two pieces, not just one. This was barely a snack and I left the restaurant starving. My poached egg was also cold.

Celebrated my sister's birthday here last weekend and the food was delicious and our waiter was excellent. Would definitely come again next time we're shopping at Yorkdale!

It was goood for the most part. Server was great. Food was decent, we got Afternoon Tea 78$ which includes the tax and gratuity. Tea was nice. The sesame rice cake should be changed like it's honestly just crispy rice and theres no meat so eating just rice is like why?? Dark chocolate Tart was not my taste. Wish there was an option of what kind of chocolate we prefer or even preferences in general. Worth trying once

I recently has the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and have to say having Berna as my server was outstanding. From the moment we sat down, she was attentive, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Throughout the meal, she was always there when we needed but never intrusive or overbearing, and what really stood out to me was her lever of expertise when it came to the menu. She was able to answer all our questions and make excellent recommendation. Looking forward to returning!

While the experience was "good", it did not meet our expectations from Holt Renfrew versus other places we have had afternoon tea. The selection of teas was very poor. It took some time for the service to start, and then it was good. The food was "good", but not "very good".
