Her Amala was so good, 10/10! I like that it wasn’t too oily like other amala’s I’ve tried. She was also very accommodating and friendly. I’ll definitely be back here

I stumbled on Inside Lagos one evening after a really long day. I was just driving around to clear my head when I saw the name Inside Lagos at Keeles by Finch and something told me to stop. A kind and pleasant lady, who I later found out owns the place, welcomed me with such good customer care and warmth that I immediately felt at ease.

I ordered amala with dry fish and ponmo, and honestly, it reminded me of home. The jollof rice had that smoky Nigerian taste I’ve missed for years, and the suya was just right, spicy and flavorful. The food was fresh, the place was neat, and there was this homely atmosphere that made me relax like I was back in Nigeria.

Since that day, I just keep going back. Not only because it’s fancy, but because it feels real- the food, the people, the vibe. This is the best and most tasty Nigerian food I have tasted here in a restaurant.

She has the best ayamase sauce and jollof rice I have tasted in Toronto. Her ayamase sauce is rich, flavorful and spicy, just the way I love it. Not just the food, her customer service is top notch and excellent. I visited her restaurant and it felt like inside Lagos indeed, very warm and friendly. Great place to get your African delicacies. I will recommend over and over again.

Terrible experience. Overpriced food with mediocre taste, and the service was slow and dismissive. Definitely not worth the money and bad customer service.

I just came to this restaurant for the first time. I walked in and there was no menu anywhere..nothing posted on walls. I asked the lady who came out of the kitchen for a menu. She gave me a menu with super outrageous prices that I could not believe my eyes. I ordered the goat stew without rice since it was on the cheaper side of the menu. I paid $15 for literally 2 pieces of goat meat that tasted really old. I also paid $3 for a can of Fanta. I don't think I'll be returning here.

Came here awhile ago, I actually enjoyed the food and the lady was so nice. Even though she was busy, she tried her best and thank you. The food was worth the wait, delicious, right level of spicy.

This was my first time in North York — I had just picked up my car from the mechanic and decided to stop by a restaurant before heading back to Barrie. I saw a few options nearby, and when I noticed this Nigerian restaurant, I decided to give it a try.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. There was no greeting when I walked in, which I didn’t mind too much. I ordered and mentioned I was dining in, but my food was still served in a takeout container. When I asked about it, the server just nodded and gave no explanation.

I was called to pick up my food with a casual 'hey,' while another customer was addressed as 'sir' and politely served at his table. I also wasn’t given tissue or anything to clean up after eating. The difference in treatment made me feel unwelcome and honestly, a bit embarrassed.

That said, the food wasn’t bad — it actually tasted okay. But overall, the poor customer service really overshadowed the experience. I hope they work on consistency and better hospitality, especially for first-time visitors.
