We had a dinner at patio and we didn’t get any water and table napkin if we didn’t ask. We didn’t get the appetizer we ordered. The service is awful and absurd. I hope this would be a room for improvement for the servers to be well mannered when working in a hospitality industry. As a guy that works in a line making the food for the customers and seeing the service works like this is such a big disappointment.

Very good experience. I ordered the Mexican chicken bowl, and the spicy salsa really hit the spot. Our server, Vanessa recommended the lemon blueberry tart for dessert, which was another winner.If you time your dinner right, you can see the sunset reflecting off of the glass windows of the building across the street.

I had a surprisingly great experience dining at the Yonge Street Jack Astor's today. The server, Vanessa, was extremely attentive to my likes and dislikes. She checked in with me intermittently to ensure I was enjoying my meal selections. Bravo! Next time, I will return with a few friends.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family, hoping for a pleasant dining experience, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing evening. Despite there being available tables on the main floor, we were inconveniently seated on the patio, which was less than ideal considering we had children and its chillier in the evening.Things went downhill from there when our server spilled water on my 8-year-old daughter. While accidents can happen she was visibly shocked and uncomfortable. The apology came with the promise of a free dessert (we were not there for desserts). It was not considered to move us indoors now that my daughter’s pants were wet so my wife had to request it.To add to our woes, the service was excruciatingly slow due to what appeared to be understaffing issues. Our order took ages to be taken, and we observed similar struggles at neighboring tables. When the food finally arrived, it was mediocre at best. My daughter barely touched her meal, and even the wings left much to be desired.The incompetence continued as our server seemed overwhelmed, forgetting to bring our children their drinks and neglecting to serve the dessert included with their meal until we had to remind them. And as for the promised free dessert? It never arrived, despite assurances.At the end of the ordeal, we were presented with an overpriced bill of $160 for an evening marred by subpar service and mediocre food. This place is poorly managed, a discount or even a sincere apology would have been appropriate, but instead, we left feeling thoroughly dissatisfied and vowing never to return. I work in an industry where guests would ask for dining recommendations, and would tell them and those who read this, save your time and money; steer clear of this establishment.

I received an email which offered buy one pasta dish get one free.I ordered the chicken bow-tie. I didn't get the 'free' order. I also ordered a steak meal, med (pink) and a piece of birthday cake. The steak was like leather! It Tasted like liver. After both dishes were boxed someone in the kitchen loaded the top with salt. I like salt but this was outrageously salted.The pasta went straight into the garbage, as did the steak after I took a picture of it. I contacted UberEats. I uploaded the picture and explained the above. I also called the store but they weren't answering unless you were able to punch in your pic up number. (Strange) I left a nice message. That was 2 days ago. I haven't heard from anyone. Uber made a very minor adjustment. The total for those 3 dishes can to $128.Don't believe their buy one get one unless you're picking it up. I read other people who didn't get their free dish either on delivery. If I could I would post a pic of the steak but that feature isn't supported on here. I'll post it on my Google review and my twitter page. This is my first complaint against a restaurant and UberEats.They should be careful not to lose customers. I won't use UberEats again.
I had to book a company lunch for 30 and, due to our scheduling, had to change venue last minute. John, the GM of this Jack Astors, was absolutely brilliant in booking us in quickly, helping with menu choices for those with dietary needs and helped this go off without a hitch. I'd definitely recommend this JA to anyone. Great vibes and service!

I adored this place! I arrived here on a Saturday without a reservation and expected to be turned away, yet I was not! I wanted to give this place five stars, but the atmosphere seemed a little off. I just found it too noisy for my taste, and the tables were a touch too close together! On the other side, their menu is fantastic and offers a wide range of alternatives that anyone would enjoy. I started with the Jacks garlic pan bread, which was delicious. I finished with the sauced and tossed tenders in the buffalo sauce, which were amazing. I overall enjoyed my time here! Give this place a try!
