I've been a customer of this restaurant since they started their branch on Bathurst St. Over the years, I've watched the business grow, and I'm always impressed by their service, food, and ambiance. The friendly staff always put a smile on my face, from ordering to finishing my meal. The restaurant continues to evolve, introducing new menu ideas and popular Filipino desserts-to-go like Taho, Buko Pandan, and Fruit Salad. Kabalen is a true gem in North York, perfect...

This place looks great but in reality the service is pretty poor. They have too many servers standing there while in reality none of them are helpful. Most of the food on display are not selectable and are served cold and hard. This is probably the last time I'm visiting here.. there is always a sourness with their food like vinegar that is overpowering. I will look elsewhere for good Filipino food.

We happened to be in the area and decided to do takeout of lumpiang Shanghai. Wow - this place is BUSY on the weekend! Smells wonderful inside and just had the lumpia - delicious!
I loved the atmosphere though most of all - friendly, welcoming and respectful in the middle of so many customers coming in and milling about. Congrats on your 12th anniversary!
