Wonderful lunch experience with @Katsuya.ca definitely must try! Great food awesome staff. Thanks for a great experience
Looking for a great lunch? Katsuya is a great place for lunch or dinner!
Special set was really great.
We went there and were seated, no verbal communication whatsoever no one asked us if we wanted anything. There was zero customers and they managed to avoid taking our order until it got awkward and we just left. Total waste of time considering we drove here from 45 minutes away for it.

A hair came out of an acquaintance's pork cutlet, so I told the server and they took the food back and said they would make it again.
I was eating my own food while waiting for my friend's food, and a bug came out of my cheese cutlet.
After clearly confirming that it was a bug, I told the server that the parsley was burnt because the cheese was hot.
It was a small ant with its head, chest, stomach, mouth and legs visible.
However, even when the food first came out, there was no heat in it and the cheese on the cheese cutlet was hardened.
After a while, the server took our food back and said they would make it again if we ate it a little longer, but they came back a while later and told us that only the two menus we ordered were out of stock and that we should change to another menu.
If the menu I took first was sold out because of my hair, shouldn't I have come back a long time ago and said it was sold out?
After a while, after all the talk about the bugs coming out, I came back and said it was out of stock, and even though it was collected, it wasn't recooked for a long time. I'm really disappointed with the server's ridiculous response.
If possible, I would just eat it, but it was unpleasant so I just didn't eat it.
I recommend going only to those who don't mind hair and bugs coming out of their food.

We came in at 9pm said they close at 11 but the server won’t allow us to sit on the back area cause he needs to close. We ask what time they close he said 10:45. What bull crap you should allow customer to sit where they want!!!

Ever so close to a perfect experience, if not only for an isolated circumstance that happened during our time eating there.
I love the concept of this Japanese fusion restaurant. They have fun, interestingly crafted meals. Two of which we had ordered are the Carbonara Udon $17.50 and the Brick Cheese Katsu $22.90. The meals are not only cool and exciting, but the taste of the food can also properly back up the gimmick.
The Carbonara Udon has creamy carbonara sauce and comes with 2 tempura pieces. For the Brick Cheese Katsu, I ordered the Gold & Silver Katsu to be able to sample both the Cheddar cheese wrapped inside the pork loin (Gold Katsu), as well as the Mozzarella cheese which is the Silver Katsu. It is a great combination of hot, fried food with a cheesy, creamy filling.
Service was honestly a mixed bag. On many occasions, we found ourselves having trouble getting the waiters' attention because the staff are situated at the far back of the narrow restaurant. It was a good thing thay the staff are very courteous. They attended to and took care of an isolated request we had during the time we were there.
The menu may be a bit more pricey compared to other similar establishments. Almost all of the meals start off at the $20 range.

Always my to go to place for the perfect creamy tonkatsu
Be careful about ordering on ubereats. If you cancel your order even one minute after ordering they will say they prepared the food and charge you for it. Even after Uber called them to ask if they really prepared it. They keep the food and do what with it idk. I'm never ordering from this restaurant again

The food arrives extremely slowly! You have to wait at least half an hour to get your order. Don't come here if you're starving, you might feel like you're dying!
I wish I could give zero stars. I dined a few days ago, and it has been an absolute nightmare since. Shortly after eating, I developed severe food poisoning that landed me in the hospital. I’ve been dealing with an upset stomach and nausea for three straight days, which has been a painful and distressing experience.

I had a specific craving for creamy udon and the Carbonara Udon satisfied that! Udon noodles were perfectly tender and carbonara was creamy, not too heavy. Karage was crispy, yet juicy and comes with wasabi mayo on the side.
Will come back to try katsu next time!

I've been here on and off throughout the years and the katsu is still very delicious, consistent, and same portions.
This location is probably one of the least crowded for dine-in, with most of the traffic going to takeout orders. The whole front of restaurant is serviced by 1 worker, who takes orders, delivers dine-in and takeout orders, and does the cash register. The dine-in service is a bit slower, but not bad since they make katsu fresh.
Note that they only allow for 1 refill of rice.
