We visited La Risata on Saturday night for my husbands birthday. He ordered the veal parmigiana and I ordered the Bacala special. Both meals were delicious. The veal was tender and tasteful. The cod was great too. Very tender. And just the right portion size too. Enough to fill us but not over doing it, where we are stuffed that it it’s uncomfortable. The service was great too. We will definitely be going back.

I'm a very good tipper, usually 20 percent or higher because I am in the industry as well. Forcing gratuity automatically to a table of two is distasteful. Will not return. If you're looking for Italian food in this area, go to La Luce.. incredible italian place in the area, try the Agnelotti, I literally shut my eyes while I eat it. This place was worth a shot but just was not a good place overall, disappointed.. I'm sure they add gratuity because noone would tip, it's that bad guys. Trust the bad comments.

Just came back from a birthday lunch with my parents. Excellent, professional, and friendly service from Cynthia. We ate calamari, which were perfectly cooked, not greasy or tough as some other restaurants. My parents had the skirt steak and opted for potatoes instead of sweet potatoes, and the request was easily accommodated. I had the lasagna, which impressed me since the pasta is 100% home made (like grandma's). I liked that they used very tender beef rather than the usual ground meat. The portion was very generous. Chef Adrian came by our table, and my father ordered a seafood--clams, mussels, shrimp--pasta dish with the type of sauce he likes. All dishes were freshly prepared and delicious. This was our first visit to this restaurant, and we are in no way related or associated with the owners. I also appreciated the kindness shown to my father who uses a wheelchair.By the way, even the bread is excellent, and we had no issue with the bill

Groupon brought me here. The restaurant has a really nice decor and was greeted by a lovely server upon arriving. The restaurant had a fair amount of people but what surprised me was the fact that they only had one server, which seams to me she has way too much to attend to. Don’t get me wrong, she was definitely professional, but having to serve, bartend and host everyone is a lot for her.Loved the appetizers (we had the grilled calamari and carpaccio). Got the veal with mushroom sauce and ossobuco lamb as mains which we were not overly impressed by. Then tiramisu for dessert which wraps us the dinner quite nicely because we didn’t have to share that.Main course arrived when we were still having the appetizers, and was forced to set the apps aside to finish it awkwardly. Asked for another knife as the ones we had originally were full of sauces from the appetizer, but the server was a bit confused when we asked...Definitely not happy about all that. I understand the recommended tip was there to guide us as they have to take the groupon amount away from the final price (groupon price + beverage + tax). I am generally picky but the server punched in the 15% tip onto the debit machine even though i find 10% was more than fair with the experience...Probably will not return, as I can definitely go to the big name restaurants for better food and better service at that price point

We have come to this restaurant many times - this is my third review on the place and every time we have enjoyed the experience. This time we brought another couple who also raved about the place. The $69 Groupon is a bonus, but what you get is great ambience, excellent food with good portions, glorious wines and attentive service all combining to create a convivial atmosphere. My favourites when they have been offered are the Ossobucco di Agnello, the Ravioli Porcini and of course the Bailey's Creme Brule...

Bought Groupon for dinner.Great Italian restaurant! Fancy but cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. Delicious food, especially fried calamari which was tenderly cooked. Food portion was decent and the three cource made my big eater husband full :) Highly recommended for all Italian food lover!

Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Came here first when my husband and I were dating 14 years ago and just returned for his birthday. Portions are great, palate is clean and the service is delightful. Truly a hidden gem in North York.
Great restaurant that offered quality food. The service was fantastic and attentive. The waiter knew his menu and was very pleasant to deal with. Prices were reasonable and the portions were just right.

This place was a very pleasant surprise. We ended up going here mostly because it was close by, but was not expecting too much. The food was extremely well done, cooked perfectly and authentic. The staff were friendly and attentive. It's definitely a place I would be excited to try other dishes at.

I have been to this restaurant several times for dinner and have yet to be disappointed. First off the restaurant is very classy and welcoming. Very clean. The staff is frinedly and attentive. No long waiting to be served. Promppt on removing your dishes as well. Now the food...Most excellent at every visit. Beautifully presented. Delicious. Good portion sizes. Desserts are very nice as well. This is a great place to enjoy a good meal and the prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend. Plenty of free parking.
