I visited this morning but the store is replaced with a new restaurant. The aunties and uncles have served freshly made 豆腐脑 and 包子 for decades. I remember going there since high school. I’ll always remember them and the food. Not sure if they moved or decide to take a break ???.

Used to go there a lot because it’s nearby where I used to live. Very nice older age lady who package my food. Always friendly and cares about customers. The price are reasonable. Steam buns and tofu curd are my favourite dishes, especially green bean pork and pork shrimp eggs buns. And also, the chilli oil is so delicious. Although I already moved away from that area but I will still come back sometimes for this place..definitely recommend.

Absolutely not authentic Chinese Baozi(Bun), although the owners are Chinese. The reason is that they outsource the food somewhere else instead of making on site. They claim all Baozi are made behind the counter, but I bet they just microwave them. I feel sorry for them as they ruin both Chinese food and reputation. Other Chinese snack are okay. I would recommend the tender Doufu soup if you are interested in them.

After returning to Canada three years after the epidemic, this store made me feel sad! I have been patronizing this steamed bun shop since I was 18 years old. Meat steamed buns and fresh food steamed buns are my favorites. It has been 6 years since I left Canada due to the epidemic in early 21, and the quality has always been guaranteed. But today, 23 years ago, the quality has obviously declined. The filling of the buns is too bland, and the buns are too small. They are about the size of my palm (I have small hands). Comparing them with those in China, the meat buns from ordinary bun shops cost 2 RMB. , three times the size here, not to mention the black pork buns from brand stores with a price range of 2.5 to 3.5 yuan, which are even bigger. I don’t know if it’s because the price of local ingredients in Canada is so high, but it’s definitely different from 2 years ago. The old couple are still very friendly, and they have opened this store for a long time. I really hope that the taste and size of the buns can return to before the epidemic! Otherwise, the only option is to buy meat buns from T&T.

Parking: From Monday to Friday, parking spaces are available before get off work rush hour. There will be more cars on weekends, but parking spaces are generally available.

The pancake fruit is indeed the mini version, and the price is a little expensive at $5 per serving. I am not from Tianjin, so I don’t know if it is authentic, but the taste is good! The salted tofu curd is also delicious!
After dinner in the evening, the steamed buns are basically sold out, so I recommend everyone to go early!

The landlady likes to settle accounts and ask for tips. In comparison, Yuanyuan Restaurant is much better.
