You will love the night life here.
Especially eating outside of the restaurant.
A few set of chairs and tables are outside near the busy Yonge St.

Every year, we would visit Toronto and make a beeline for this place for dinner. The food was better than last year, and my friend even suggested that it might be a new owner. However, our pork chops were not cooked properly, and we had to return the uncooked pieces. The waiter was very polite and took the return back, removing it from the bill.
Visiting date: June 2025.

Came with friends on Canada Day around lunchtime.
Most dishes were fine. One wasn’t — and it was bad enough to ruin the entire meal. The Cheese+Spicy chicken was a disaster. The sauce was so over-seasoned it was borderline inedible. No one at the table could finish it.
We told the server. He came back with this gem: “The chef tried the sauce and says it tastes fine.”
Translation: *We don’t care.* Not about your experience, not about your feedback.
If that’s the standard they stand by, we won’t be back.

We recently spent a fun girls’ night out at Nangman Pocha in North York, and it instantly transported us to the vibrant streets of Korea. I love how the cozy, laid-back vibe truly captures the spirit of a Korean pocha. We arrived around dinnertime and were seated right away—no wait, which was a nice surprise. Their menu is packed with a variety of shareable dishes, making it perfect for group dining.
We ordered their kimchi udon, spicy nails and noodles, rose spicy tteokbokki, seafood pancake, corn cheese and deep fried squid tentacles.
Even though we definitely over-ordered, everything we tried was delicious. The kimchi udon was a standout — warm, comforting, and perfectly spiced. I also tried snails for the first time, which was an interesting experience! They had a slightly chewy texture, so I’m still on the fence about them. The seafood pancake and the rose spicy rice cakes were both amazing — classic must-orders whenever you’re enjoying Korean cuisine.
The food served as a side dish is delicious.

Came from out of town to enjoy some yummy Korean food. We over ordered on purpose to try as many things as possible since we dont have too many K restos where I'm from. For a group of four, we ordered the rose ttyeboki, grilled pork belly, cheese corn, seafood pancake, spicy pork, pork katsu, ramen and probably something else I cant remember. Everything was good but I wasn't a fan of the seafood pancake. Too many ingredients and not crispy enough but tasty enough to still eat. Cute decor, cozy vibes. The tables are small and round, so don't plan to order too much because you will need more room - the portions were huge, great for sharing with a larger group.

A Korean Pocha can never go wrong with late night meals. I like the decor here where the restaurant has those circle tables that you can find in barbecue restaurants in Korea. There are lots of Korean posters too. It is a lovely sociable setting to have a snack or drink late into the night.
Their food was tasty. We ordered an army soup, a steamed pork belly, 2 pounds of chicken wings, a stir fried chicken gizzard, and a stir fried spicy squid with cold noodle. Their portions were huge which is perfect for sharing. The 2 red beans and tropical fruits shaved ice were on the house! The meal was so filling for us. A great start into fall.

The beef tartar is phenomenal. Spot on seasoning and fresh meat. The pork belly is also very nice and tender. As it is very authentic, the stir fired squid can be spicy. But that would be just perfect to pair with some Korean pop or shochu!
