Loved loved everything about Nome Izakaya , the music never skipped a beat, the food mouth watering and the servers were the best. I had the east and west coast oysters( the east coast are tastier). The spicy salmon sushi was great, the beef tongue was smooth and delicious. The yam fries were amazing and not to forget a the lemon drop specially made for me. Def coming back again

The service was just okay. The staff knew everyone that walked in and spent most of their time chatting with friends that walked in. The atmosphere was good because I liked the music but for a Japanese restaurant why were they playing so much hip hop and Afrobeats? I had some food that was WAY too salty. When I let the manager know, after only two bites, they told me they are not the type of restaurant to take food back and I still have to pay for the food. All in all, I won’t be returning here. The hype is all for nothing.

Great place for $1 oysters on a Tuesday/Wednesday night.We also tried the seared salmon roll, monkfish tacos, takoyaki, gyoza and a rice bowl. We wrapped up the meal with the costco apple pie they serve with black sesame ice cream.The rice bowl & dessert were underwhelming but the rest of the meal was delicious.

I have become a regular at Nome because it is absolutely outstanding! The food is superb and is always consistently great, I have never had a bad experience with anything I've ordered. The sashimi is the best in the city! The service is spectacular, everyone takes care of you and is super sweet. I 100% recommend Nome.

I always order the same things when I'm here: Japa burgers, aburi salmon donnburi, samurai crunch, and oysters. You can't go wrong with these food items.Personally, coming here during the weekday is better than the weekend. You can at least hear your company speaking. The weekends they have in-house DJ which makes it slightly difficult to chat.I will say though, I recently recently order the same food and it was underwhelming. The tastes and flavors were off. Now I'm not sure if it's cause it was late or the restaurant had to accomodate a bigger group but my samurai crunch lacked flavor and was watery. The aburi salmon donburi was also lacking in flavor and didn't hit the same. The oysters were significantly smaller than I remembered. This was probably a one-off.All in all, it's still a great restaurant to dine in. 100% recommend to dine-in rather than take-out. It's a vibe.

I love Nome in general, but this location beats the other one! Servers are definitely more friendly, and space is a lot bigger. Perfect for larger parties, in comparison to the other location.

Went in on a Monday night, was not busy at all. 3 servers working, rarely checked in on our party. Waited over 20 minutes after ordering a single desert. Had to get up and ask for the bill, our server was in the back I guess. Another server was sitting with friends at the bar.Food was decent, a little on the rich side with the sauces. Portions were good, fair for the price.
