I took a quick trip to Oyato African food market to bulk up on African black soap, on my way out I seen ola there door advertised fresh restaurant and catered food. I went in and was greeted by two sweet elders aunty & auncle and they gently gave me the menu I seen all the great tasty fire dishes but I had to keep it humble with my diabetes. So I just ordered the cheapest thing on the menu mashed beans . They looked at me like that’s it! I laughed like “yeah I have my green banana at home to Dip” ! They were like okay I waited no more than 10 minutes cause it’s a pretty simple dish.some nice west African gospel was playing on the flatscreen I would say I got a nice homey vibes were your welcomed to eat ! And that’s what I love comfortable and calm I kindly asked the chef if she could add a water and ginger ale to my meal. And it came up to $15.00 they only had visa debit at the moment not credit card.Id say it’s worth the price I even had left overs for a day which I liked cause it tasted alot better. I recommend sitting in if you’re used to traditional settings and need a good quick tasty meal or ordering take out or delivery.

The food here brings me back to going over to an uncle or aunts place in traditional Yoruba Nigeria. I have flashbacks of #Abeokuta whenever I smell or taste the food.No matter how big boy you think you are your portions will not change. I asked them to mix Okro and egusi for me, they told me that’s not how we do things???I’m a Yoruba boy ooo, lived in Okota, so when iGbo people show me that way, it entered sha. All in all, this is one of the original go to spots in the city for traditional Yoruba Eats.

Worst customer service and you don't get what you pay for. They short change you. Food takes forever and not what you ordered
The worst... I don't even know how the food tastes because when I got there, the man sitting there (whom I thought was a customer) was extremely rude!I placed my order before coming with some lady on the phone, she was very pleasent. When I got there and the lady must have not relayed the message to him. He seemed upset. I walked out no poi t.I get it we African and we can come of harsh at times. But when people are spending their hard earned money with you, especially since food is like a mortgage, please be nice!!!!

You should get 4 stars but you deserve 3 or less, sha manage 3 like that cos that place is tooooooo stuffed, I'll go in there coming out smelling like food. Also after placing your order, I don't advice you eat in there but make sure to ask when it will be ready if not you'll wait endlessly thinking your food will be out in a min.But see that jollof is tasty and nice. Very good portion for 25$ or 23$ if not mistaken .

Outdated prices on their website and they think it’s your duty to cross check prices on Uber , door dash, etc. out of 3 pieces of meat in their assorted, only 1 was soft enough to be eaten. The rest went in the garbage. I tried this place for the first time and never again because nothing worse than getting ambushed with different prices that what you planned for.

I drove across country line to go eat at this restaurant but it was a very bad experience. Their customer service was absolutely rubbish. Almost everything on the menu was not available, one of them even insulted me when I asked if they have real pouded yam or Poundo. We managed to eat what was available and when I asked for take away plate to pack my remaining food, the man would rather take the food away from me to go pack inside their kitchen. It was a bad experience. Our people need to do better with their businesses especially dealing with people.
