PCGR has an outstanding line of Panama coffees, especially geishas (Esmeralda, Auromar/Ironmen, Santa Teresa, Don Pepe). They provide coffees both natural , ASD and washed process. Depending on the personal tastes, some will be revived by striking peach, bergamot,or mango favors, others by intense fruit punch flavor. Most of the time I love geisha coffee in the morning with light breakfast where I taste better the nuances in the coffee. Another worthy addition to the line is Aguilar Peralta Natural geishas. Not as intense as some , but a truly delightful light peach/mango flavor. Whatever your taste, you will find a great coffee with PCGR which will leave you looking for more.

Ordered both Auromar and Geisha natural to trial this vendor. It is normal to pick up the fragrance of fresh coffee just by handling the box when I order from vendors. Not in this case. When I removed the bags I gave them the squeeze test and smell the one way valve for off gassing. There was no fragrance apparent. CO2 evolution had ceased before bagging. The bags were date stamped two weeks before my order and the advertised cupping scores were different than what was marked on the bag. When I opened them, both products had the smell of oxidized, coffee. I tried both and while the Geisha Natural was not bad, the Auromar was not palatable. After the Natural had been opened for two days, it had lost the flavour it did have. I was hoping to find a reliable supplier of Geisha throughout the year. Not from this vendor.

My brother ordered us a beam heater for our siphon brewer early Dec for Xmas, and when we still had no shipping information come Jan, I reached out. The first rep who responded by email signed off as "Sanicanida Team," which is a toilet supply company, but it had the automatic signature from Panama Coffee Gold Reserve. I still gave the order number, and was provided a tracking number and told they'd send a complimentary bag of coffee for the trouble. However, the rep blamed the winter storm that hit Buffalo, but the tracking info showed it coming from China and at that exact moment I got the tracking info, still in China. It is currently lost/stuck/who knows in international parcel limbo in LA, and that's the only place it has been that isn't in China. When I asked about these discrepancies, I got radio silence (nine days ago). I am not sure what this company is, but the bag of coffee arrived even if the beam heater hasn't, so...? The broken English scattered around the website if you look beyond their product pages makes me think this whole thing isn't really in Canada. Legitimate or not, the whole experience has me weirded out.
