Called to order ahead and they gave a time, they had it ready labelled with napkins right on time. The beef tongue with mustard was soft, moist and tender with the right balance of flavours.

I had a medium corned beef sandwich and Nancy had the pastrami. I got a huge lump of corned beef in the middle of two pieces of rye bread. No butter, no mustard, no pickle, nothing. After I asked I got a bottle of Keens mustard.
The beef was moist, tasty, tender, thinly sliced, and absolutely wonderful.
The place has a history of three family generations working there as well as a vast array of celebrity patrons over the decades. Photos adorn the walls complete with signatures, and reviews of the greatness.
If I'd havr been hungrier I'd have added to the sandwich to make it complete. As it was it was a disappointment all except the exceptionally tasty corned beef.
And the waitress was gorgeous.

What a lovely establishment! Unassuming from the outside, but the interior really transports you to the past with a very rustic atmosphere. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Got the chili for my girlfriend; delicious and had a great tang to it. Comes with a few slices of rye bread. I got the beef tongue sandwich. It was piled high with meat and absolutely tender + delicious. I will definitely be back, over, and over, and over!

Absolutely delicious food and really friendly employees. We enjoyed corned beef and pastrami sandwiches. Probably the best we’ve ever eaten. We also bought latkes, matzo ball soup and a fantastic split pea soup. Well worth the drive.

Amazing sandwiches. Corned beef is amazing! Montreal Smoke Meat does not disappoint, the coleslaw is the best ever! Staff at the counter are super friendly and helpful. Bought 6 sandwiches and coleslaw. Everyone enjoyed!!

If you thought you will get Montreal smoke meat here, don’t come, it doesn’t taste anything like the Montreal smoke meat. Its salty and flavourless. It’s more like cold cut meat with some Montreal smoke meat spices on it.
