I’m genuinely disappointed by the experience I had at one of my previously favourite Italian restaurants in the city. I’ve always appreciated the atmosphere and food here, but my most recent visit was incredibly disheartening due to the poor service we received.
Our server, Annemarie, was hostile right from the beginning. When I asked for the drink menu, she seemed confused and required clarification, as if a drink menu was an unusual request. Then she proceeds to ask me what kind of drinks as they aren’t all on the same menu. Finally, she got frustrated and left the table only to return with a drink menu (which did have all the drinks on one menu after all). Her attitude throughout was unwelcoming and unprofessional.
We ordered two entrees and an order of calamari as an appetizer, only the entrees arrived. After 15/-20 minutes of having our entrees, I decided to ask about the calamari. When we followed up about the missing calamari, we were told it was never even put through. No apology, no effort to make it right. I ordered the calamari for my nephew who accompanied me to lunch. After a long day of school, I wanted to treat him, not knowing that an order of calamari would take close to an hour when our table and one more couple was the only people there at that time! I wasn’t expecting such poor service and disrespectful attitude.
This kind of service is not what I expect from a well-known and reputable establishment. Many of my colleagues from Kooy Brothers frequent this restaurant for lunch, and I’ll definitely be sharing my experience with them. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the service standards.

Amazing food, people, atmosphere one of my favorite to go places. The appetizers, pasta and pizza taste so good along with deserts, the drinks oh and the drinks are made with love. Overall great place for special occasions or just a quick bite.

The staff here doesnt want to work and shut down restaurant earlier than closing time showing online. Got turned down service here twice once at 7:30pm and once at 8pm. Wont be coming back here. Dined here once, food was decent but staff isn’t

We had a family event last night at their restaurant. I can't stress how great the value is here, and the food quality was top shelf. I have eaten food cooked by some of the best chefs in the world and this was every bit as good. the staff were attentive but not at all intrusive. very accommodating for our large group of 15 people. Their shrimp and calamari platter was cooked perfectly, not at all rubbery, with a divine sauce to dip. Pasta nicely al denté. Calabrese antipasto, nice bread spread. Perfect, and I do mean PERFECTLY, cooked steak, chicken, and sausages. Their pizza is simple but lovely balanced between crisp and chewy. Not too thick, not too thin. Arancini were great.
I highly recommend them for your next family event, or just a quiet night out for the family!

My wife had been there a few times, closer to when they first opened. They had these prosciutto wrapped shrimp with a balsamic glaze...omg so good! We didn't go for a while, but my sister had had them cater her kids special events and the food was always really good! We went back recently with our kids, and although they don't have the shrimp, they have Italian spring rolls and again....omg! All the food we each had was absolutely delicious... even the dessert. The service was great! We will be back for sure! Also, they have a private party room available in the basement.

I would like to share our experience of our recent Thanksgiving dinner that Panino Cappuccino (PC) catered for our family. A special thank you to Stephen Frati for recommending PC. We were hosting Thanksgiving dinner for our extended Dutch and Italian family, and I contacted Marcello at PC to arrange a traditional Canadian Thanksgiving. Marcello was fantastic; we provided him with the menu items that we wanted and he arranged the rest. PC provided a buffet style dinner for our 26 guests in the basement of their restaurant. The atmosphere was perfect; the staff decorated the room in a traditional theme to provide the perfect Thanksgiving fall ambiance! The dinner was so delicious; chef Charles, went over and above to provide us with the best Thanksgiving meal we have ever experienced. The turkey (done two ways) was so tender and the vegetables and trimmings were cooked to perfection. Our guests raved about the delicious food for days to come. Charles interacted with our guests in a very personable manner which made them feel so welcome. PC is just a gem of a restaurant/catering service in our city. Thank you for taking care of our family and for taking the stress off us during a busy time. We will be knocking on your door for many more occasions in the future.

I was introduced me to this place, and the pizza is always outstanding. We ordered takeout again this evening for pickup, and it’s easily my favourite spot for delicious, fresh pizza. We got black olives, mushrooms and soppressata. Always a banger!
