I asked for extra whipped cream and this is what I get. Not only that the food doesnt look appetizing it doesn't have that much taste.

The place is really cute and small as well, but theres a little patio of about 2 small tables out front for warmer days.

Disappointed in the New Normal at PastelI have been a loyal patron of Pastel for years, drawn initially by their delicious food and the inviting, cozy atmosphere they used to offer before the pandemic hit. However, it's with a heavy heart that I share how drastically my experience has changed during my recent visits. It seems Pastel is stuck in a perpetual COVID era, failing to move forward with the times.Upon entering, the first thing that greets you is a large garbage bag, overflowing with used styrofoam plates, plastic cutlery, and other disposable items from previous diners. This sight is not only unwelcoming but also subtracts from the dining experience I once cherished. The use of disposable dining ware might have been understandable at the peak of the pandemic, but as we navigate towards normalcy, it feels outdated and frankly, depressing, not to mention it is a terrible waste for the environment. Moreover, the plastic dividers that line the counter, intended for safety during the pandemic, now serve as a barrier in more ways than one. They not only make it difficult to communicate with the staff when placing an order but also detract from the aesthetic and ambiance of the place. These dividers, which now appear dingy and unattractive, transform what used to be a warm and inviting space into something resembling a hospital during the COVID crisis. It's truly disheartening to witness the transformation of what was once my go-to spot into a place that seems to have lost its essence. The excellence of the food remains undeniable, but the overall experience is now overshadowed by a lingering sense of gloom and a reminder of the pandemic's darkest days. I hope Pastel reevaluates its current setup and recaptures the inviting atmosphere that many of us fell in love with. Until then, I find myself reminiscing about the past rather than looking forward to my next visit.

Delicious crepes and very creative menu. The sweet crepes are sooo good but very very filing. Their presentation was really good too, very quick service as well. Tried Espresso Crepe, Chocolate Crepe and Mushroom Savory Crepes. All pretty good. Coffee was good too: french vanilla oat milk latte.Seating space is limited, best chance of getting seated is right when they open.

I go to Yonge and Finch often and I feel like I've seen this place on Google for ages, but never checked it out until now. My friend and I came here on Boxing Day around 12:30pm. Some people ordered to go but we were the only ones who dined in at that time, so it was quiet and relaxing. My friend got the mango crepe with a tea. I was deciding between mango and suzette (orange caramel), essentially something familiar or something unique. I asked the cashier for his recommendation between the two, and he enthusiastically, without hesitation, said 'suzette, for sure', so that's what I got. We got a buzzer and waited about 10 minutes for our order. I didn't have a problem with the disposable plates, but I'm thankful for the metal cutlery. I actually really liked the suzette. The only issue is that if you don't eat it fast enough, the caramel can get hard and stick to your teeth, but that's a me problem lol. The ice cream was good as well, but had a bit of ice burn or crystals, but also not a big deal. We still hung out at our table a bit after we were finished eating and no one bothered us. Do note that there are only about 7 tables, so I can imagine the rush on a busier day. Crepes are best when you can sit and eat them fresh! All in all, would definitely come back. 5 stars!

Been coming here for over 10 years and they have the best crepes however after covid the atmosphere never recovered. Ordering food at the front and then going to eat on paper plates is not a great experience. Recommendation to go back to how this place was pre

PASTRY: very disappointing• Matcha Pancake: I got shocked when I received it, it's a deconstructed crepe, on a paper plate. The crepe is very chewy, the matcha ice cream has a suspicious and artificial color, and it's very icy. Tiny scoop of red bean with a tiny bit of something looks like matcha sauce but doesn't taste like so. Generous amount of crispy cake/bread that doesn't really belong to the dish.SERVICE: I don't really understand why a self-serve place give me food on a paper plate. But service was not bad.INSIDE: there're about 5 tables, and it gives me a vibe of sitting in a food court at the mall instead of a cafe.
