Pho Xe Lua Vietnamese Restaurant

The service is great. The owner and servers are all very friendly. We went on a Friday and it wasn't busy. The noodle soups are delicious and the grilled meats are flavorful. We were sitting for a while chatting and catching up and our water was constantly refilled. Would definitely go back again!

The food is excellent.
Pho was rich and comforting, and the raw shrimp rolls were fresh and delicious — no complaints there. Flavor-wise, this place delivers. Pricing is more than fair.
Unfortunately, everything around the food doesn’t match.
The interior is messy and distracting: “ethnic décor” mixed with visible cleaning supplies and half-opened boxes sitting where guests are dining. It feels unfinished and careless.
Service exists, but hospitality doesn’t. Orders are taken and delivered, but staff watch videos on their phones with the sound on, laugh loudly, and yell to each other across the room. It completely breaks the calm, homey atmosphere you’d expect from a place like this.
Come for the food.
Don’t come for ambiance, quiet, or service.

ordered the rare beef pho and the noodles were mushy and the meat very dry and overcooked. it felt like chewing plastic and the noodles were impossible to eat because they easily fell apart. very unhappy about the quality of the noodle and the beef.

My go to pho place to order on uber eats. Also came to eat in person and it did not disappoint. The lamb curry is so good!

This spot is tucked away in the back of a plaza, and unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations.

Service: It was okay, nothing memorable.

Food: Mediocre at best. I ordered the 101 pho special, 401 pork chops on rice, and the #12 three-color dessert drink.

The pho special felt more like a small portion, and despite being a “special,” it came with no tendon, and they only gave a 5 tiny basil leafs, and tony plate of green sprouts.

The pork chops were disappointing—no lettuce or tomato, just rice, pickled radish, and the pork. The sauce was overly salty without the tangy-sweet balance you’d expect. When I asked for a fix, they just watered it down. If you’re hungry and still leave a pork chop and a half on the plate, that says something.

The #12 drink was the biggest letdown. It was bland and lacked freshness. Supposed to be a mix of red beans, mung beans, green jelly, and coconut milk, but all I got was red beans, black grass jelly, a few strands of green jelly, milk, and ice. I should’ve ordered one first to test it out.

Overall: Compared to their Spadina location (which I really enjoy, especially the dessert), this branch seriously needs to step up its quality

Did an afternoon Uber eat order and the soup is so tasteless and very only taste MSG and diluted.

Ordered uber takeout and was a letdown. Ordered RARE BEEF pho and the beef came fully cooked. It also looks like deli meat beef. Very unappeasing. Usually when I order pho the beef comes raw and fresh red and they look like steak slices. The spring rolls were really hard and chewy like they were cooked a day ago.

SCAM when ordering takeout!!!!!!!!

Ordered takeout pho with beef + tendon, paid 5 dollar extra for additional tendon. And only got one piece total.

The fresh rolls are 90% filled with noodle.

And the pho didn't come with hot sauce. What kind of scam pho is this!?
