I've been a fan of Pizza Maru, but what happened today is so embarrassing. I wanted to eat pizza with my wife for the first time in a while, so I ordered takeout, but they told me to wait 30 minutes due to a backlog of orders. When I went to pick up my car on time, it was still not ready so I asked them to wait another 20 minutes.
While I was sighing because there was no news for an hour, a male employee came up to me and asked if I was waiting for the food I ordered. When I said yes, he looked around at the food that was already on the corner of the counter and said, "Your food is ready."
I ordered pizza and spaghetti, but they were already cold, and I was quite upset, so it was obvious on my face, but the staff member turned away without saying a word, "Sorry for being late." Since I had already tipped, I tried to cancel the tip, but they said the payment would not be refunded.
I've been eating pizza from Pizza Maru ever since it was established, but as of today, it seems like my relationship ends here.

When I said yes, he checked a pile of food that had already been sitting in the corner of the counter, then handed it to me, saying, “Your food is ready.”
I had ordered pizza and spaghetti, but both were already cold. I was clearly unhappy, and it probably showed on my face, but the staff member just walked away without even an apology for the delay. I had already tipped in advance, but I was so disappointed that I wanted to cancel it—only to be told that refunds weren’t possible.
Since Pizza Maru opened, I’ve only been eating their pizza, but after today, I think this is where our relationship ends.

Tried the Honey Fries, Chili Toppoki, Real Chicago Pizza and Cheese balls (on the house).
The honey fries were nice and crispy with a hint of sweetness however I prefer the cheesling fries over these.
The Chili Toppoki was good. I like that it includes fish cakes, imitation crab and veggies such as green onions and cabbage, not just rice cakes. It can be very spicy if you can’t handle spice.
The real chicago style pizza was super cheesy as expected. The crust was also loaded with cheese and the dough was soft and chewy. I wished there was more tomato sauce on the pizza and more meat to increase the savouriness.
The cheese balls were crunchy and chewy with a hint of sweetness from the cheese.
I would recommend coming to this place and giving them a try.

Second time at this Pizza Maru location, had two small pizzas and the spaghetti, all of which super cheesy and decked out! The server also gave us two wings on the house to try, which were also super great, just the right amount of sweet and spicy. Will definitely come back again, maybe try the wings. :
