Was in the area and needed a quick bite so decided to run in and get one of their “signature poke bowls”. The portion and variety of toppings exceeded my expectations, as was the freshness of the ingredients. I will be back.
I've been to a good amount of poké places in Toronto, but I always find myself back at Poke Eats. The service is always friendly, but the main draw is the food: good flavors, good sauce, good portion size, not overpriced (a poke bowl for under $20?! unheard of rn!!), and a good selection of bases and toppings. The fish quality was good (no fishy smell!), rice was warm and well cooked, and they didn't skimp out on any of the premium toppings. I'll definitely keep...
I always have some hesitation when rating poke spots. Having been to Hawaii twice, poke in Hawaii vs Toronto is vastly different. And the struggle to not be biased and nitpick when poke is just not the same is so difficult. I can say that this spot though it still holds to a Toronto style of poke, there are a lot of options that make up a nice poke bowl.
