Wonderful local bakery and café. R Bakery Cafe consistently delivers fresh, tasty baked goods with a great variety of breads, pastries, and desserts. The custard tarts are excellent, and the sandwiches are filling and well made. Coffee is strong and smooth, and everything feels freshly prepared. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the café has a cozy neighbourhood vibe that makes it a nice place to stop and relax. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Great experience! I showed up early to pick up goodies for some of my customers. Everything was fresh, good selection of pastries and breakfast options. Love the Portuguese tarts! Had a big order, great service and very friendly.

My mother went in to buy some buns. The bun crust completely crumbled off. We have been around long enough to know when yesterday’s bread was reheated and sold as fresh.
Please don’t sell stale and yesterday’s buns and charge as if they have been baked fresh in the morning.

Sat down for a breakfast, was told someone would come to the table, 20 minutes later no one came so I got up to order at the counter. Food came quickly and was good. There should be free refills on the drip coffee when you order a breakfast meal. Having to pay another 2.50 for another cup is a bit much. Also, there is no table service, I had to constantly get up to order more, maybe having a server would be better for the customers.

The best thing about this place is the seating vibes are very comfortable it is really well renovated and has comfortable air conditioning and eating and it also smells nice because they're baking bread and has espresso machine they even have like real feel like pasta rice vegetables and even a washroom that you can use the quality of the food is pretty decent and the prices are fair

This place is amazing, the staff and atmosphere are kind, warm and welcoming. The food is delicious, highly recommend the pateis de nata!
The bread is good. The pasties are ok and the hot table is hit and miss. The service is very disappointing and rude. It’s as if they’re doing you a favour by serving customers! So off-putting. Also disappointing are inconsistent prices. I ordered the same 2 items on two separate days within the same week and was charged a different amount. The prices need to be displayed and accurately captured at the register. I will avoid this place in future. Lots of other bakeries to spend my money and be treated like they appreciate my business.
