Pizza. Below par. Meatballs below par. Mushrooms below par. Why? It feels like Italian spices and Italian creativity is missing. I think this bakery needs a new cook. A new chef. I wished the food taste matched the most amazing Italian experience in North York. So disappointing. Could be so much better.

First time coming here so I got a box of pastries to sample. They were okay, the cheesecakes and red velvet have way too much sour cream. They don’t taste good. The best thing was the carrot cake although it was sweet. The cookies are good. The tiramisu is just cream no lady fingers etc.
The cake we got for my mom’s birthday was stunning. The design was elegant and beautifully detailed. Even better, it tasted incredible. Everyone at the celebration loved it! It truly made the day feel extra special for us. Thanks!
I love it here. Reminds me of my late grandfathers place.

I have tried the cannolis here multiple times and they are hands down some of the best over ever tried. Recently I came here to buy treats for work. I can’t hear at 8am and they already had fresh cannolis and pasteis de natas (Portuguese tarts). My coworkers were floored with how delicious and authentic everything was. The cannoli shells were crunchy and the filling was not too sweet. The staff in the bakery were such a delight and extremely helpful. I live in the west end but will continue to take the drive all the way to rustic just for their pastries.
I bought 30 cannolis (3 different kinds) and 10 pasteis de natas. Each item was $2 each and I spent an overall $80 on this trip. Well worth it!

I picked up a box of cannolis from this store, and they were really good. I brought them for my colleagues and everyone liked them. This isn't my first time buying from here, I've tried their cakes before too, and they were also really nice. The quality is always consistent and everything tastes fresh. Definitely one of my go-to spots for desserts in the area.

Got the steak sandwich. All I taste is veggies with 1 piece of stake.
I’ve been coming here religiously for the desserts and I don’t see myself stopping. Rustic I think makes one of the best Cannolis in all of Toronto! Very cozy bakery to visit. You have your old timers each morning enjoying the morning coffee and fresh desserts being made. Love coming to Rustic!

Delicious food
Love the hot food & desserts here! I often stop by for some freshly made pasta or pizza - it’s always delicious and hot.
All the staff are very friendly and helpful with recommendations, especially since it’s an Italian bakery with cultural desserts. I always try something new every time, and I have to say I love their cannolis and manicottis! Highly recommend this place for the service, excellent food, and variety of selection!

The food and treats are amazing here, but the issue is trying to get answers about what an item is. There aren't signs and if you don't know, I have yet to find a staff member who could actually understand me enough to reply. So you basically just point and hope you like it. Which did work out last time, but not so much the time before that.
The atmosphere comes across as very standoffish and I don't like spending much time inside.
