The food and treats are amazing here, but the issue is trying to get answers about what an item is. There aren't signs and if you don't know, I have yet to find a staff member who could actually understand me enough to reply. So you basically just point and hope you like it. Which did work out last time, but not so much the time before that.
The atmosphere comes across as very standoffish and I don't like spending much time inside.
We ordered a Sfoglia cake for our 150 person wedding and it did not disappoint! It was easy to order with Victoria, who was extremely helpful, and the cake was AMAZING. There was nothing left from our huge cake and everyone raved about how delicious it was. Highly recommend this business!

Amaaaaaaaaaaaazing everything!!! Came by today as first timers and Rustic has it all! Incredible pastries and massive variety of sweets, and the porchetta and meatballs rival nonno’s. Such a friendly, family atmosphere and so happy we were in the neighbourhood and stopped in. Will be back soon to try everything else.

Wow, what an amazing spot. Everything looked amazing, and it was hard to decide what to choose, but we tried a little of everything. The pizza and porchetta sandwiches were incredible. The meatballs (and the sauce 🤌🏻) were delicious. And the pastries were so incredibly fresh and delicious. 100% going back and will recommend.

Been coming here for years but this is the first time I've experienced such terrible customer service.
After purchasing a bunch of items from the hot table, asked to get a large container of potatoes that the sign shows is $8 - only to be told its $15!!
Whomever the guy is with glasses running the cash register is not fit to be any sort of manager, the complete lack of accountability is astounding. He simply says 'oh yea its a mistake but we won't honor it' which leads me to believe its likely been like that for months (at least) and I guess because they get a good amount of foot traffic he just doesn't care.
I could understand if it was $1 or $2 more but not practically double the cost, absolutely crazy to advertise one price and say another with not a single thought about customer service.
I went to the bakery yesterday and ordered three veals two slice of pizza three cannolis at the hot table. I was very disappointed at the lack of customer service. I was the first person there and at that point nobody was at the hot table then several people arrived, and I have to say probably 12 people were served before my orders were even completed. I then approached the cash register to pay, and the person at the cash was taking a catering order, saw us standing there to pay and proceeded to allow us to wait 10 more minutes Until my husband had to ask the cashier to cash us out,while across from him was the owner with the little construction workers, Who may I add receive preferential Service well I was the first one at the hot table and they received their sandwiches in advance of me or anybody else, but we’re not the first to be there. Then there was The owner who added insult to in and was
talking to them instead of coming to the cash register to assist us with our order. I then proceeded to go outside with my cold sandwiches, cold pizza, and right in front of the bakery sitting in front of the bakery a lineup of 5 Individuals who clearly could not read the sign that stated no smoking must smoke 9 m back. I wish I was someone who worked for the fire department because I would’ve find your business so quick you wouldn’t have known what happened, But instead, me and my family had to endure the nasty smell of cigar and cigarette while we try to enjoy our cold food. Owners and management have made a lot of money in this establishment and really don’t care about their customers or shall I say they only care about the ones that they want to care about? Definitely won’t be coming back

I host a social group called LA DOLCE VITA. A group of 15 of us went to Rustic last night and were treated like family! The food was amazing! Domenica came out and offer d to make us a pizza and it was amazing! We felt right at home. This bakery has a beautiful neighbourhood feel, a real sense of community. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 We ordered a custom baci-themed Toronto Maple Leafs cake for my mother’s 80th birthday from Rustic Bakery — and it was absolutely perfect! Not only did it look amazing, but the flavour was outstanding. The team at Rustic Bakery were fantastic to work with — friendly, professional, and accommodating, even on a long weekend. I placed the order on Saturday and was able to pick it up today with no issues. Everything from the design to the taste to the customer service was top-notch. Thank you for making this special occasion even more memorable!
