Customer Service ---- Server made a mistake on my order then argued that I made the mistake. How confusing or complex can a roti order be? Decided to accept the wrong order as I was hungry.
Food ---- Then it turned out roti is more potatoes than meat and roti bread itself is very bland and seems like how cardboard may taste like. Not a good experience. Not recommended. Many other options out there.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ On our way to Algonquin Park, we stopped for lunch at Shahi Royal Roti, an Indian restaurant in North Bay, and it was such a beautiful surprise. We ordered the Non-Veg Thali, Chicken Korma with Roti, Chana Curry, Shrimp Pakora, and Papadam — every dish was flavorful, fresh, and authentically made.
More than the taste, what stood out was the hospitality of the owners. This lovely couple serve with compassion, warmth, and genuine joy. Sitting here felt like being at home, even though we were far from the India. The place may be small, but the ambience is cozy, welcoming, and full of heart.
If you’re traveling through North Bay or heading to Algonquin Park, I highly recommend stopping here for authentic Indian food and heartfelt service.

I recently visited Shahi The Royal Roti in North Bay and ordered the non-veg thali along with shrimp pakora - and wow, it was absolutely amazing! The thali had a perfect balance of flavors, rich curries, and fresh roti that made it feel like a true feast. The shrimp pakora was crispy, well-seasoned, and super tasty. The food was served hot, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly. Definitely one of the best spots in North Bay if you're craving authentic Indian food. Highly recommend!

All of our food was excellent. Full of flavour and spice,, great size portions. The absolute best samosas & panora hands down. Lamb Biryani was so tender, chicken vindaloo was the perfect spice, and the butter chicken a delicious classic We will be back If you don’t think it can get any better the service is 5⭐️
