It was a nice surprise finding this authentic Korean restaurant. Everything we tasted was good, including the fry chicken and zhajiang noodles.

We stumbled upon this little gem. We had sweet and spicy fried chicken and rice with shrimp. The food was delicious and we will return.

Friendly service and good food! We often go with their Combo A which comes with Jjajangmyeon (black bean noodle), Jjampong (spicy seafood noodle soup) and Tangsuyuk (deep fried pork with sweet and sour sauce) which is perfect for 2-3 people.

DELICIOUS food with HUGE portions
I ordered the Chinese pork with sweet sauce, shrimp with sweet and ketchup sauce, and sweet and spicy chicken!
Hands down the best deal for Korean food in the yonge finch, since it's affordable and the portions are BIG and can get your Korean fried chicken cravings too! Has the local mom and pop shop vibe and great cozy atmosphere for groups and families.
Don't forget the combos for under 30 you get both fried chicken and seafood or blackbean sauce noodles!
Check out this place for Korean Chinese fusion!

Shanghai Korean Chinese Restaurant delivers solid Sino-Korean comfort food. The N1 Jajang Myun impressed with chewy noodles and a rich black bean sauce, while the N8 Spicy Seafood Noodle (Jjamppong) featured a bold, spicy broth and a hearty mix of vegetables. Both dishes were satisfying and well-prepared, making them great options for takeout. However, the toppings were a bit sparse, leaving the dishes feeling slightly unbalanced. A good spot for Korean-Chinese classics if you’re craving bold flavours.

I come here at least once a month, and usually get either jjampong/ gan jjajang with tansuyuk. If you’re a fan of jjajang myun, try the gan jjajang. It’s the “drier” version and has more intense flavours.

Overall, this place is a quintessential Korean-Chinese food restaurant. The food here isn’t the fanciest, but the taste is reminiscent of what you’d eat as a kid in Korea. It’s got the neighborhood 중국집 taste. Hits mid at least. It’s also super affordable!

One thing I noticed was quality of food can be inconsistent, hence the 4 star. I try to avoid dinner time because the quality seems to suffer.

I ordered the Jjajang + Jjamppong + Sweet and Sour Pork set, and changed the Jjajang to Gan Jjajang by paying an extra $3.
- Sweet and sour pork: These days, most people eat sweet and sour pork with glutinous rice, but this place is really old-fashioned sweet and sour pork. When you take a bite, the meat is firmly encased in the batter.
-Jjamppong: The soup is really delicious and the vegetables are cooked well and crunchy. It's a bit sweet, but still delicious, so I'm planning to try jjamppong rice next time.
- Ganjjajang: They gave me a lot of sauce, so I was greedy and poured it all, but it was a bit salty haha. Onions and meat were generously added. If you want to eat soy sauce, I recommend that you don't be greedy like me and adjust the seasoning little by little!
Overall it was delicious, and I plan to visit again.

The Don Restaurant

I was surprised by the size, surprised by the price, and surprised by the taste. In particular, Jjambbong is a must-try food..

My go-to place for Korean Chinese food in Toronto. Good food, satisfying portion for the price and quick service. Comfortable, cozy, and clean environment. Combo menus give you more for better price.

Ordered the A Combo that came with deep fried pork with sweet and sour sauce, beef with black bean sauce on noodle, and spicy seafood noodle sauce. Everything tasted great and the portions were big. For 3 people, we were super full. I also love the kimchi they serve here, its super spicy and not too acidic. The total came out to be around $50 with tips and tax included.

It tastes like old-fashioned jjajang jjamppong sweet and sour pork. It's really delicious. It tastes just like the one I had when I was a child, having it delivered from a local black bean noodle restaurant. You can trust and eat it.? It's hard to find a taste like this even in Korea these days.
