Can't beat the lunch special here! Absurdly good food for the price you pay! Not to mention the staff here are amazing. Elia is a fantastic server and the work those folks do in the kitchen is miraculous. They really go out of the way to make you feel like family here without ever sacrificing the fine dining experience. Highly, highly recommend!

Just wanted to give a shoutout to our server Helena. She was amazing and she was the only server the whole night and she definitely had great energy and had recommendations for everything. We had the mussels with marinara, pasta with veal and olive and oil and the other was with lobster tail and mussels. We had the monday special it included: soup or salad, any pasta and then dessert and coffee or tea. Definitely would recommend. The server wants you to enjoy your meal and smile which doesn’t happen often anymore. She is very genuine! Definitely deserves a raise :)
Since the change in ownership, food quality has deteriorated to the point that I will not return. Pizza sauce is bland and seemingly lacking in spices. Both tomato and cream-based pasta sauces are also bland. Chocolate and lemon cakes are ordered frozen from Montreal with only cream brûlée and Tiramisu made fresh in-house. Shame on you for not sourcing local bakeries. Be sure to bundle up as the restaurant temperature is cold.

I just came back from Italy with the best pasta everywhere. Of course I am not expecting the same here at Sorento. I lowered my expectation, but I still wanted to try the difference between the carbonaras I had in Italy and here.
Right when the dish came, my friends said "oh this doesn't look too tasty", and yes, it was really bad. The pasta was not good quality pasta, the sauce did not taste like egg-made, it was more like a cream sauce. The meat was not pancetta, it was bacon. The chicken breast was dry and rough.
My friends ordered a seafood pasta and a chicken parm, they said it was alright, not the best but a passing grade.
Service was good though, we interacted with 2 servers and they were both friendly.
Decor was so nice. I love seeing pictures and decor that reminded me of Italy.
