If I could give a zero star review I would. How do you guys have a number that’s not assigned and can’t and no one can contact you or call you. That’s the first issue. Second issue is the fruit quality and the food portion size for the money that we’re paying right now for everything why are we getting less of everything that we pay for? I try to support our businesses, but this is the reason why it’s hard. I literally Received a half a spoon of cabbage and salt fish with my order, And the dumplings were hard and tough as if they had been sitting out all day. We have to do better than this.

Terrible customer service. I came on August 1st at around noon and the older lady working there had the worst attitude—completely unapproachable and rude. She actually told me to hurry up with my order, kept rolling her eyes as if she did not want to be there, which I have never experienced at any restaurant before. Terrible customer service. That alone says a lot about the poor quality of this place. The food wasn’t even great either - I’ve never had such dry jerk before. After the frustration I got because of that worker I literally lost my appetite for the whole restaurant. Definitely not coming back and would not recommend.

DO NOT ORDER. I ordered through uber eats they were doing a BOGO. I only received one order out of the 2. It is all rice. On the page their photo is fake. Portion/food was not like the picture. They are cheap with the meat (on the photo there’s 3 large chicken pieces. I received a drumstick and half a thigh and it ended up being all bones, and they sprinkled a couple cabbage leaves and called it “steamed vegetables”. Ended up paying 30$ for this horrible meal.

I've ordered from here a family dinner .. that includes 4 pops, 8 plantain, 4 coleslaw and a side of gravy.. and 2 meats, and 2 rice.. for about $60 all i got was rice and the 2 meats..this was the worst place I've ever ordered from and for them to mess up that badly.. and I try to call the number of the restaurant and the number you have called is not in service..wtf!!!

Ordered sunrise from uber eats, made the mistake of not checking reviews. Got the “stew” chicken bogo meal because it was the same price if you were to buy just one meal so got the “deal”. Open the box to find this atrocious portion. Ontop of that, they charged an additional $2+ for coleslaw, never in my life have i paid extra for coleslaw in a Jamaican restaurant. No flavour, does not even taste like stew, taste like ketchup, chicken dry as hell, fry fish is bland/dry/not seasoned well, rice and peas super bland no flavour.. do not go here, listen to the reviews!!
The oxtail & curry goat is so delicious!! The lady that served us was suuuper sweet. God bless her <3

This is the first time I have ever order from this restaurant on Uber eats because I was hungry. I ordered a Bogo meal, and it only came with one coleslaw for two meals to share, and the coleslaw tasted like it had some sort of alcohol or Pine-Sol in the coleslaw mix. The chicken was so dry like the Sahara desert and the rice taste like it has been made hours ago. When I tried to call the restaurant to get an explanation the number was out of service??? the health inspector definitely needs to be called.

I ordered Uber eats TODAY cause everyone in my home is sick....we ordered chicken soup, small portion taste was smthg off. Then saw they had BOGO deals decided to get stew chkn and rice and peas. Bogo at Sunrise means 2 box of rice aaannd 1, ONE, ONE!! piece of CHKN BACK!! CUT UP 6 TIMES!! plus 2 equally small bony piece chkn added. I could not stop laughing. I AM SO TIRED of supporting and being disappointed by caribbean restos!! IF you cannot afford to serve ppl atleast 1 piece of chicken in a meal they paid for then Please decrease the size of your menu, so you can!!!. This was a joke The plantain was ok.
Never again I'm done with buying caribbean food outside.

Very unpalatable🙂↔️The rice was all lumped together and the goat curry I ordered was very salty. I never rate restaurants but today I have to give it one star. There are only a few pieces of goat and too much rice. It's not worth $18!

There’s this kind Nigerian lady that, at some point, started working here in the Jane and Wilson location, and just makes this place worth coming to. I first met her about a year or two ago and she’s still there and I told here I just hope she stays because she’s a nice lady (and that they pay her well). The food was good but I feel as though it got better with her there. I’m going to ask her name the next time I see her so that I can update this review.
Usually, Sunrise Caribbean hires people with unnecessarily hostile and rude attitudes, like they hate the job but it pays them to make ends meet. She’s one of the kinder ones. The overwhelming negative reviews this company receives at its locations is typically because of the quality of service the customers receives.
Apart from that, I’ve noticed prices have definitely gotten hire and the coleslaw is…different. It was better the way it used to be. Also the large and small sizes are virtually the same, with the difference being that you get some coleslaw for the large size.
Anyways, this 5 star review is in honour of the Nigerian lady and the quality food I receive when she serves me.
