Thai Express Restaurant North York

Grossly understaffed, below average cleanliness (floors are greasy and wet), disorganized kitchen (chef messing up mine and other customer’s order), food is average at best (shrimp is not fresh, and the pad Thai noodles are all sticking together). The cashier lady is actually quite nice, but the head chef is always in a bad mood, yelling and banging his wok constantly, while accusing everyone but himself for messing up the order. Definitely the worst Thai Express I have ever tried.

When I walked in the person preparing the food was eating with his hands and the owner took my cash money with his hands. Both began scooping the ingredients of the dish with thier bare hands without washing. That was my last visit. Avoid this one if you want to stay healthy.

I eat lunch and threw up twice. Meat had bad smell. It was either old beef or very expired.
I always eat Thai food but this was disgusting I asked the server about the smell he said it’s the sauce. I made mistake that I eat it

Ordered soup with extra vegie, the guy put a little low quality vegetable on top of the soup. So unfriendly as well.

My God how is this place in business?? I've never had Asian food this bad. Ordered the The Pad Thai. It was like chewing on elastic bands, the chicken was sliced very thin and very little was provided. I counted 2 pieces of tofu. Overall flavourless and pathetic. I was told to take a table and they would bring it to me. Instead the woman yells come get your food. Like what? Spent over $20 with a drink so not cheap. My stomach started cramping within 30 minutes and had to go home to...🚽

Judging by how many stores have closed in this mall, this place won't last and thank God.

Also these automated replies expressing concern are ridiculous. If you really cared then you wouldn't be receiving a 3.2 rating.

I would NOT recommend this location for Thai express.
The cashier and the chefs are very disorganized and there was constant yelling between the two. I witnessed 3 orders go wrong and served to the wrong table in the time I was waiting for my Pad Thai. I even witnessed the food be taken back from the cashier after it had been touched by a customer and then she picked off the meat of the dish that was brought back and instantly served it to another customer.
The chef was sweating profusely (understandable while working a hot wok) but he would wipe his sweat with his hands and which he would then use to continue cooking.
As for the Pad Thai I ordered, it was very bland and dry compared to other locations. I even asked for a slice of lime which they could not provide.
Hard to believe the restaurant was busy with what I had witnessed in the brief 10 minutes waiting for my food.
I will not be coming back.

I would never ever order another pad thai from this branch. It's bland and small serving. Never ever.

Great food great service and great atmosphere. They have tons of seating and it’s a nice place to sit down and have a conversation too, very chill and booth seating is very comfortable. Food is a good price and it tastes great. I highly recommend the Tom yum soup!
