Pleasant bakery. Everything here is good quality and the flavours are just as described, not too sweet either. I also would like to take a moment to appreciate the designs and sugar cookie art! so much detail and were delicious too. Only reasons for the 3 stars is because 1- the doughnuts are a little too doughy & dense- but the taste is there, 2- I found the pies to be a little gooey. Even after heating it up in the oven it still wasn't crunchy , 3- prices are pretty high. However, no complaints on the service, all so nice.

I ordered an Orio cake last week. The cake was beautiful but I was disappointed with the taste. It tasted like chocolate dough. The icing was good but it didn’t taste like cookies and cream. I expected the cake to be light and fluffy but it was thick and doughy. It was like a big brownie. Not what I expected for $120.00. When I got there the lady behind the counter was polite. However, she asked me if I was the customer that called earlier and asked for my order to be placed in the fridge. I told her that it wasn’t me she spoke with because I never called and she asked me if I was sure. Then proceeded to repeat herself (odd). Again I replied I ordered online, I never called the store. She asked if I were sure one more time then she finally accepted my response but her face and body language told me she didn’t believe me. Strangely, my cake was not in the fridge it was behind the counter. Which confused me more because if she believed a customer called and asked her to keep the order in the refrigerator why wasn’t it in the refrigerator? On top of that the lid on the box was open and when I asked why she told me that the cake was too big for the box to close. Then proceeded to close the box and the cake fit perfectly. I can’t help but wonder what that strange interaction was about. Why didn’t the lady believe me when I said I never called, why was the cake not in the refrigerator and why was the box tapped open? I don’t think I will be back to the rolling pin.

I just want to say thank you to the owners of the rolling pin! They were wonderful! They made my wedding cake dreams come true! The sugar flowers looked amazing! The flavour was lemon raspberry and it was Refreshing and moist! My guests raved about how delicious the cake was! They arrived on time and set up the cake. I will be booking with these wonderful ladies for future events !! Thank you so so much !!

Recently, I ordered a custom Baptism cake for my son, I provided a picture of what I wanted it to look like. It was not like the picture I provided at all. They took it upon themselves to change the colours I asked for, add random white balls to the cake, change the cross to an old style cross and change the overall look of the cake. It’s a very simple cake, I have seen them do cakes a million times harder, this should not have been an issue at all. People make mistakes and I understand that, but when I reached out to them to let them know I was disappointed they did not answer my email at all. I can see from other reviewers that is their normal, when someone complains, they just simply ignore it. I guess they do not value their customers. All I was looking for was acknowledgement that this cake was not what I ordered and an apology. There are plenty of bakeries in the city that make beautiful cakes, and I will be taking my business in the future elsewhere.

Came to them to make a custom cake for my boyfriend’s birthday. I was very skeptical at first because the design I wanted seemed complex… however, the team here at The Rolling Pin was absolutely incredible and made one of the best custom cakes I’ve seen! Definitely exceeded my expectations. Everyone at the party was amazed at the cake and my boyfriend LOVED it. Additionally, all the girls were so nice and the cake also tasted amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this place.

You know the saying, “it’s as easy as pie”? Well, dare I say the new saying should be “it’s as easy as cupcake bouquets”?! (Really rolls off the tongue, doesn’t it?! ??)
I never thought of myself as a baker, but when you have someone bake the cupcakes for you, and make the frosting for you, and provide the decor to bring your cupcakes to life, it’s not as hard as it looks. I can now happily say I made myself one fabulous cupcake flower bouquet.
You may notice from my pictures, that I chose some abstract designs, but I appreciate that my creativity wasn’t stifled.
Such a fun idea for a bridal shower ?♀️❤️

Staff is super friendly. Very good customer service. I ordered half a dozen assorted donuts, everyday the variety changes. If you want to order something that's not on the menu you have to purchase half a dozen. Which I did and ended up with a dozen delicious donuts. They only except cash or debit. The only set back are the limit hours which I'm told is being worked on.
