Went once in 2010. Pretty good food, but overpriced for students for sure. Good ambience and alright service.
I got their pesto chicken mac and cheeses and it was tasteless. I can't even say if it was good or bad because i simply tasted nothing. The chicken did not taste fresh at all and the sauce was extremely watery. The service was quite nice and they have some nice pool tables. It is a nice place for students looking for a place to chill with friends but don't expect to get good food here.
Great food and drinks.
Always a great experience here. Amazing service and food I never leave unhappy.
The manager Jason Goulart lacks people skills and does not show enough respect to the employees. He acts as if he is better than other people and sometimes he just casually stands around while others are hard at work. He ultimately does not know how to make workers feel comfortable and I did not enjoy being in his presence. In terms of the food, I've seen the cooks drop cutlery on the floor and put them in with the clean utensils. The food is overpriced and overall it's not a place I trust. Save your money and go somewhere else on campus.
20 minutes waiting for a menu. Another 15 waiting for the guy to come back. No offer of a drink, not even water. It wasn't even busy and the staff were just slowly wondering around. I didn't wait for the server to come back. I decided to leave because it shouldn't take that long to get served. The new menu also isn't as good as the old one. MazaBite is a little walk off campus, does food just as good but is much better at service with even less staff. Plenty of other places to eat on campus and at the Quad too.
Service was lacking so bad! As a group of 4 we waited 20 minutes after being seated and then had to call someone over to get our orders taken. No one checked on our table while we were eating, then two of use had to ring ourselves in on the debit machine after the server walked away and didn't come back. We literally had to walk the portable debit terminals up to the bar, give the server our receipts, and show that we paid and are good to go. All the while we're heard lots of excuses that someone else was supposed to help us.....
It took 20 minutes for my friend and I to even get our menus. The waiter said it was because they were "flooded", but there were only 13 people there. After another 40 minutes we finally received our food, which was quite ghastly. We were served the wrong kind of cider and the mashed potatoes were exceptionally disgusting, and unquestionably microwaved. The nachos we received were stale, and the large raw chunks of onion were distasteful. After all of this we asked to see a manager, but our server informed us that he was the acting manager for the night. He was continuously rude and smug when we voiced our concerns with the food, and refused to reconcile the situation in any way. We were essentially forced to pay for repulsive food that I would not even feed to a dog. Do not waste your time or money here.
The food here tastes pretty good, it is certainly not amazing. While York is lacking many "sit-down" restaurants, The Underground is one of the better ones. There are many aspects of the menu that are great such as the lattice fries and many other appetizers. The menu itself is very diverse with a lot of options. There are a lot of variations with the food to better serve many dietary restrictions. The newly renovated space is great in-between classes with friends or family. It is also a cheap and good place to grab a drink.
Had to wait incredibly long for service. They need more staff cause you can see them working but too much customers for them to handle at once. I spent more time waiting for the bill than actually eating. The menu has some good options though.

I really liked this place. The ambiance is brilliant and so is the food. You won’t find too many drinks options but their offering are sufficient. The service is good. Music is just at the perfect level, one can enjoy the music and conversation. They have gaming options as well, which makes it a perfect place to hangout with group. You can enjoy pool, foosball or basketball. They charge $1 for a game of foosball, which is not at all expensive. I would highly recommend this place. It’s always a delight to be here!
