Quick friendly service and huge portion sizes. Plenty of parking available. The waitresses checked up on us regularly and it seemed like a busy spot and quite popular with the locals

Devastatingly no chocolate on our chocolate banana crepes ðŸ˜
It seems to me a place they expel tea to share as a family, in my visit it was only me and the truth is that I am a cozy place the atmosphere can transport you to another world if you are observant you can realize many things that in everyday life there are I could say that you can perceive love, the food without a doubt is phenomenal I ate a combo with potatoes, eggs, sausage, bacon, ham or chop, a delicious dish and I ended up with some pancakes that to be honest made me remember the family flavor, it is a good place super recommended and there is no doubt that the prices are affordable but you can enjoy a rich family time or alone.

5 stars for service. Or service was so pleasant with a wonderful smile. Food is diner quality. It’s tasty, but just not worth the price.

Too much mayo in my sandwich and my home fries were overcooked. But the server was just wonderful

Dear Wimpy’s Diner Management,
I’m writing to report an uncomfortable experience at your 590 Sheppard Ave W, North York location. After finishing my meal, the employee handling the payment insisted that I had to pay a 17% tip, saying it was because the staff needed money for transportation and other personal expenses.
I felt pressured and uncomfortable, as I understand that tipping in Ontario is voluntary unless an automatic gratuity is clearly stated on the menu or bill. I did not see any such notice during my visit.
I’m sharing this to make you aware, as I believe customers should never feel forced or guilted into tipping. I hope this can be addressed with the staff to ensure future guests are treated respectfully and not pressured when paying their bill.
Thank you for your time and attention.
This is a small diner that takes you back to the '50s. Individual booths with old jukebox controls at each table for decoration. The service staff are amazing and the food was quite good.

Laura served us here, and we truly enjoyed it. We really love this place — it has a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and a beautiful warmth that comes with Laura’s presence.

Ridiculous tipping culture here. Why would a server ask us how much we’re going to tip and then refuse the tip amount when told? Why would a server be the one to determine how much I tip her? Also saying that they could’ve added the tip to my final bill themselves!

About $25 for a plate and coffee. Solid diner fare, good value. Coffee is good. It’s a snug little place but that makes the booths feel cozy. Quick service and food. Staff are friendly and efficient, and the old-school vibe feels authentic rather than forced.

Good as usual 👌. Very reliable in all aspects: Food, hours, freshness, quality, . A fellow came in the establishment probably using or housing challenged and clearly was asking for something for free . The lady working gave him a coffee to go. She was very passionate and professional. The fellow left without incident.
