The atmosphere was indeed pretty, i took a few pictures because of the decorations. (i love the asian culture)
But today, this cafe left me disappointed, too. here’s what happened:
when we got into the cafe, my mom and i didn’t have to wait long for the menus, but when we were ready to order, we had to stand up and call out a few times.
after we ordered what we wanted, the food arrived up to 5 minutes. we were expecting for at least regular, no sparkling water to be offered and served, but none of that was given because we ordered our own drinks. when later, i asked for water, the lady said that they have only sparkling. i said it was okay, because otherwise i would be drinking tap water. please also make sure that you show what food you want to order, because the lady gave us a different food that was a bit more expensive than we ordered. the food, was sort of delicious but the meat in the bento we ordered, which was the one that was different, was over-fried and almost burnt
later, i had to get up again to ask for the bill. the lady brought the bill and at exactly that time she told my mother that she can’t take out the drink she ordered. my mother kindly asked if she could, but the lady stated to get pissed. after a few minutes, mother, came up to the counter to ask again if she could take it, because she drank only 1/3 of the bottle and it was costing at least $20. the lady started yelling and, thanks to my knowledge in Korean, i somewhat understood that she was insulting my mother. i didn’t mention it at the time, but then she started yelling more louder at her. i was getting worried and terrified, i might sometimes get panic attacks, and my symptoms were starting, but then hopefully my mother just walked back to the booth and i followed her. after a few minutes, we still had to pay our bill, and to mention it, the lady did NOT bring the merchandise for my mother to pay with a card, what made us get up and go to the counter again to pay.
also to let you know, we read peoples’ reviews and noticed that it didn’t happened only to us for a short time, but it was happening over past few years. there was one review that caught my eye, it was about a person being a person of a color. here’s our experience, it is indeed true. we’re asians, and there were two people that were a different race. the lady was busy majority of time inly to them, which meant that we had to call someone out for service. reading exactly this paragraph, you may think that someone is being racist, but it’s just lack of service, politeness and respect towards the customers from the lady.
In conclusion, i wouldn’t go there again only because of the service from the people in there :(

We had to call the waitress and she was disrespectful, she was raising her voice when was asked to explain the rules of take out. Not only she was yelling, she was insulting me in her native language. Also, please show in menu what you wanna order, because in our experience she brought a different food that costs more expensive than we planne. (dSame thing happened with water, usually in cafes offer regular water but they didn't do it.) The waitress also didn’t bring bring a merchandise for us to pay with a card, what meant for us to walk to the counter and pay ourselves. The service is the worst… I do NOT recommend it

Great food and service. Hidden gem. Would go back just to try multiple dishes. Even if your not into sushi or seafood. It has a good selection to try from.

Staff friendly, fresh sushi. Reasonably priced.
Good for the value we got the lunch special and tuna roll was fresh but salmon roll had a fishy taste.
Waitress could be more helpful despite us being the only guests in the restaurant she never asked us of we need anything or even when getting the bill she was not available
I had to get up everytime to get some ginger or get up to pay cash instead of her coming to our table ( the entire time we 2 were the only guests at lunch there.)

If you’re a person of colour don’t waste your time going here. The lady saw us didn’t greet us and immediately went to greet the white people and seat them although we came first, also had us standing the entire time. She did it twice. I said something and she got scared because I called out what she was doing. I’ll take my money elsewhere what a joke.
Learn not to judge people on their skin colour. Toronto is a diverse city and you need to have respect for all races not just white people. Very embarrassing on their part.

Yuki Sushi is definitely one of my favourite sushi spots in Toronto! I absolutely love the quality of their food and the warm, professional service. It’s not just about the high-quality sushi — the welcoming atmosphere makes every visit feel special. The place is cozy and has that authentic local vibe I adore.
They’re also impressively fast with takeout orders, which is a big plus. I really appreciate how thoughtfully their menu is designed — it gives you so many delicious options while still being budget-friendly.
Yuki Sushi always shines! 🍣✨

Been coming here for 20 years and it’s always the same - bearish pizza I’ve had ANYWHERE - underneath the salmon is finely diced cucumber and daikon which adds to the perfect texture. The Yorkdale roll is basically a deep fried dynamite roll - so good. Service is good for me, to the point and friendly enough. Atmosphere - you can expect a 20+ year old restaurant but it’s clean and cozy.

Me and my boyfriend LOVE this place whenever we're in the area! I love their sashimi platters, but if we come in time for lunch I always go for the sashimi and sushi lunch, and he goes for the chicken teriyaki lunch. I love the fatty salmon they include sometimes! Everything is super affordable, and I'd say the quality of the fish is very good too!

Don’t eat here. The fish tasted 4 day old and the maki was so salty it burned my mouth. Who knows what they put in it. Maybe msg or some other chemical. When I very nicely
Called about it, the woman who said was the owner was rude beyond belief and said too bad and hung up on me.
