A Sweet and Smoky Delight I recently visited Richie's Ice Cream and Barbecue Shop and was completely blown away. The combination of savory, smoky barbecue and rich, creamy ice cream might sound a little strange, but trust me, it works! The hamburger was tender and flavorful, with just the right amount of smoky char. But the real star of the show was the ice cream. The flavors were bold and authentic, and you could tell they use high-quality ingredients. The service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty barbecue feast or a delicious scoop of ice cream, Richie's has you covered. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu!

Food was good. Fries were a little stale and the bun for the sausage was hard, but the sausage was good and the peamale on a bun was great aside from the string lettuce. As for customer service.. the girl taking my order (Maggie, dark hair) stared at me impatiently while i looked at the menu (my first time here). When i placed my order less than 30 seconds later and said hi, she didnt even respond. She asked if i wanted everything on the sausage & when i asked what everything included was, she sighed and rolled her eyes as if i should already know. Then had to double check as she wasn’t aware herself. Overall an unwelcoming experience. I read some other comments while waiting on my order and it seems this is an ongoing issue in regards to customer service. The owner commented on that review stating something would be done about the service but at the time of my review it seems multiple staff members lack common friendliness despite the kind note written on the bag. Food was pretty good but i wont be returning for rude customer service.

Always love stopping at Richies when i am in the area for icecream and steak sandwich which i enjoy. I use a walker now and because of all the river rock put down i had a major problem getting from parking to purchasing my food and going back to car. I almost fell two times. Scary! This is not wheelchair, cane or walker assessible. The parking lot needs to be resurfaced to make it accessible for people with disabilities. Even if i was not handicapped i am still a senior and this is very dangerours to walk on. Food gets 4 stars. Accessibility 0 stars. I hope you do something about this. Thank you.

Ritchies is a favourite summer spot in Norwich. They offer a great selection of Shaw’s Ice Cream (the best!). It’s a simple, easy spot to grab lunch, dinner, or a cool treat on a hot day. It’s always busy in the summer, but it's nice to see everyone out enjoying it.

Took 3 straws (one accidentally fell on the ground so took 4) so my grandparents and I could share a drink and when she went to order the lady working told my grandmother that she “didn’t appreciate me stealing the straws” since we only ordered one drink for us. And then made my grandmother return the 3 straws. She was very rude about it, would recommend she work on her customer service.
