The place is cute. The workers are really nice, but the food is not the best hashbrowns were pretty much burnt no seasoning at all not even salt and pepper on either the eggs or the hashbrowns when asked to be given salt and pepper in a bag to go was not given any so very plain food had to go home and season my own food and put it back on to a pan to make it better kind of makes it pointless of grabbing food from somewhere when you have to re-cook it yourself

You wouldn’t expect one of the best meals you’ve ever had to come from a place tucked inside an old airport hangar—but Jimmy’s Kitchen proves that true gems are found off the beaten path.
From the outside, it looks like a spot only pilots and mechanics would know about. But step inside, and you’ll find a cozy, no-nonsense kitchen serving up ridiculously good food with soul. The smell alone—slow-cooked meats, fresh spices, and sizzling goodness—lets you know you’re in for something special.
Jimmy doesn’t need fancy decor. The charm comes from the clatter of pans, the buzz of conversation, and the occasional airplane rolling by just outside.
The portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, and Jimmy himself? A legend. Friendly, passionate, and always checking to make sure you're not leaving hungry.
It’s the kind of place you almost want to keep secret—but good food like this deserves the spotlight.

Took me awhile to find this place after I saw the sign. But after finding and walked in I was not sure about what we were going to get. It is a small place with limited seating. However I have been to many places and found these kinds of places usually serve up some of the best food. I had a friend visiting. I wanted to find out more about the helicopter rides. I am so happy I did this today as I live not far from this place and now I have somewhere to go for a wonderful casual meal. Today I had the Montreal sandwich and the bread was so fresh and the meat was delicious. My friend had their huge chicken fingers with fries. Both of us were happy. You can sit and watch planes and helicopters land and take off. When weather nice you can sit outside on that patio. This is an awesome place to take kids. Wish I had known about all this when my son was small. So when I have grandkids I know this will make a great day out.
My friend who came with me her son is a pilot…. So here is hoping one day he can pick us up here.

Lasagna was gifted to us. It was absolutely delicious. I will definitely purchase again!
Best kept secret in Collingwood for breakfast. Very cool to bring your kids and watch planes take off and land while having breakfast or lunch!

A greasy spoon diner at an airport? You bet! Excellent breakfast and brunch in a unique environment. The diner is in the terminal building. Limited space, so arrive early. Pancakes are great and served with real maple syrup.

Watch out for the 3 peice pemeal on a bun that comes with 2 slices. I had to ask for my third slice.... And for the cost it should not of had to ask. Had to prove to the staff that it states "3" in the menu. Thought the chef would have come out to apologize, considering it seats 18-20 inside. But nope. And no apology. Sad because I'm local.
No better spot for breakfast
