I really enjoyed the signature chicken box.
Filling but still with a nice light texture. The sweet tangy sauce is great and when you try it. It was prepared in under 5 minutes and I had my to go box quickly. The chicken was very flavourful and tender.

The best part about this basil box location is you always know what you’re going to get and the quality is always consistently good. The service and vibe are also always great. Slightly expensive but not stingy on quantity. The boxes are definitely fulfilling.

I was disappointed when my DoorDash order came with missing ingredients. I phoned the store and spoke to Emmanuel who was very polite and apologized for what happened. He then personally delivered a full box with all the ingredients. I really appreciate the effort he took to step in and resolve my issue. Thanks again. Highly recommend this store.

Alright at best, I've had the basis, street fries (or something like that), build your own box with satay beef and peanut sauce and lastly a lemon grass chicken dish. Most of it is boring and flavourless but if you get anything I recommend the fries or baos.
Vegetarian options: Have tofu and veggies for the build your own box.

I first discovered Basil Box in Toronto but loved that they had a location in Oakville near my favourite art shop. I love the option to build your own box, especially since I'm vegetarian. Love the Coconut Curry tofu with Jasmine or Brown rice, assorted veggies, Peanut Sauce, assorted toppings, and a bit of spice. Especially enjoy the Sweet Chili Mayo on top. Have also tried the Coconut Curry Bao which were fantastic except for the cilantro. I do wish that there were more options to try.
Overall loved the whole place and it had a good selection of food with reasonable pricing and space to sit and eat. I would say it felt a bit small if you come in at like lunch time when everyone else is there, but they do have a patio area at the front with more seating. Also I liked that they had a boba tea cafe tucked inside on the left right as you walk into Basil Box.
Vegetarian options: One of the orders we wanted to get needed to be vegan and they were able to substitute certain things to make that happen.
Parking: The area that Basil Box is in, is usually always busy because there are a lot of stores and restaurants, so it may mean you have look extra hard to find a spot but it shouldn't be too bad.
