The dj played techno pop and no one was dancing He finally changed the music and people started dancing Then he changed the music back and everyone stopped dancing The dj should play what people like and not play music no one is interested to dancing to People dancing is a clear indication of the type of music want to hear and that should be obvious to him

We ate at Beacon for the first time. Was pretty good and we would return. A few tips for management. 1. Was a cold draft by fireplace on other side of bae by the xmas tree. 2. From the table in the corner you were looking at a drape pulled( tied) open into the kitchen area, some boxes on the floor and staff going into the little area at the right. Not very appetizing to look at when the rest of the place is very nice.

Great experience, great ambience, great service. I will go again and would recommend this place any time.

My mom and I had such a wonderful experience at Beacon last night. We came for Happy Hour and enjoyed delicious apps and drinks, then stayed for dinner to celebrate my mom's birthday. Everything was fantastic — from the food to the atmosphere. A special shout-out to our lovely server, Anastasia, who took such great care of us all evening. She was attentive, kind, and made the night feel extra special. We're truly grateful. Highly recommend Beacon for a memorable meal and exceptional service!

This is the third time I've been to the Beacon - brunch is the “sweet spot” for me, I think. Went with 3 friends( all of whom had never been there before) and they raved about the experience. Indeed, I was so happy to have Introduced the restaurant to them! Worth the trip to Oakville, they said! This, coming from Torontonians, is quite something, don't you think? - Dia Gupta Frid

Too loud during a meal people had to talk at a louder volume then they turned it louder not good for eating and good conversation

We ordered the prix fixe. First course was an italian tomato bread salad. There were 4 croutons on the salad a few tomatoes and mostly lettuce and a lot if it! Very disappointing. The main was branzino with potatoes and broccolini. The broccolini was tough and undercooked and cold. The fish had soggy skin. Dessert was mango gelato which was probably the best part of the meal, although it definitely was not house made. Overall it was a very disappointing meal. Finally, the service was not very attentive. We sat between courses for quite a long time. The music was very loud and so it was very hard to hear the wait staff. Eating out is expensive. I would not recommend this restaurant.

This was not our type of restaurant environment. The music was too loud, couldn't hold a conversation, the lighting was terrible, couldn't see the menu or the food. Had to use our phone light to see what we were eating. The food I would describe as mediocre. This restaurant is for a younger demographic, who value this sort of environment over a relaxing evening and a good meal.

We were celebrating 2 birthdays and did they ever look after us ! from the time we sat down, they answered all of our questions relating to the menu and offered some suggestions as well. Ryan served us and he was always available if we needed something. the food and appy's were great and Ryan suggested a really nice wine for us all to enjoy....and not crazy expensive either ! We were able to have great conversations without having to scream over the hum in the dining area ! Overall, I would say this had been one of the best evenings where everything just clicked into place. Would highly recommend a visit and ask for Ryan !

We chose to eat outside because it was a lovely late summer day and the dining room inside is quite dark . Lovely ambience for dinner or on a cold day . Plus ...there was a very strong mildew smell inside the restaurant . I could not have enjoyed my food with that smell present . We all were aware of it. The food was quite good ...not outstanding. Service was good.

We had a great meal at Beacon. The service was wonderful. Our group comprised four generations celebrating Great grandmother's birthday.

Beautiful restaurant, when you walk in. We had a table for five, at lunch. The menu is exciting, with lots of delicious-sounding options. Since it was lunch, I decided to go lighter and have the brisket sandwich. I even convinced two of my party to join me, because it sounded so delicious.
One other person decided to get a steak. Good choice. It was well-cooked and tasty but not that special. The other person had a chicken and vegetable sandwich. Also, not a bad choice; nothing great but not bad.
Now, let’s get back to the “brisket” sandwich. The sandwich was tasteless. It had all the advertised pieces: toasted bread, Gruyère cheese, onions and bbq sauce, in adequate quantities. The only problem was the “brisket”. Instead of a nice slab of bbq brisket, there were a few strands of beef, in cheese and a little sauce. Brisket is not an expensive cut. It should be present in an obvious way, not a few pulled beef strands in a cheese sandwich! My friends both politely ate some of it. I could only eat half. The fresh cut fries were yummy. However, the sandwich was beyond disappointing. I suggest it be either redone with actual brisket or be replaced with a better sandwich.
I don’t like to post negative comments about restaurants because of the effort they make, but this sandwich took my breath away, in a disappointing way!
The 8-layer chocolate cake was absolutely delicious and the best part of the meal!
Oh yes, it took ages to get our food, despite the restaurant not being busy.

We had a wonderful time sitting on the patio. Amazing staff who were all attentive and patient. My entree of cauliflower steaks was incredible.
