We placed our order. They brought us the wrong meal. So we asked them to take the order back and redo the order so we could have the one we wanted. Then when they brought it, it did not appear that it have egg in it. But we didn’t complain and just let it go. Then when we got our bill and it was $6.00 more. Part of it was for the origional meal they bought us which was wrong and the other overcharge was for toasting the toast the waitress said. (meanwhile it’s french toast.) Yup apparently there is a charge for that.
Had gone in for breakfast and received a phone call while ordering, and more people were going to come, and they accommodated with no problem
Only one waitress for the entire restaurant and one cook. expect long waits. The food was average, and overall the place just isn't what it used to be. It was much better a few years ago. Now, there's nothing special about it.
We went today to Ben & Florentine in Oakville. It was almost Lunchtime. We were are a group of eight people. The girl that greeted us, was very kind to tell us that she was the only waitress, that there was only one cook working at the restaurant and that we would have to wait a little bit more than usual. Nevertheless, since we’ve been many times at this place, we decided to sit.
I imagine the kind of pressure this girl was having by taking care of all the Clients in the restaurant that at the time were around 20-25.
Yet, she had the table ready for us in less than three minutes with all the menu folders on each seat.
She took the first order for drinks and came back very fast. When she asked for our main course, she did not have to write them down because she said she would remember all of them. By the way, some of the orders had special requests.
When she brought each of the orders, there were all exactly as we requested them.
This girl is a joy, someone who wants to become the best every day, and one who dedicates her heart and soul to work very professionally towards the clients.
Our most sincere congratulations and best wishes to this employee, who knew how to cope under such pressure. Her focus and engagement in her job was amazing.
A message to the owner, You should not open your Restaurant to operate only with two employees!!! This is not the first time that I’ve seen this, just to save some money at the expense of your employees burnout. They are also human beings, not machines!!!
If you wanna continue to be successful, keep this girl, because she is liquid gold.!!!
The menu has been changed ! , way less protein than it used to be before .
Lots of potatoes not worth the price .
This will be my last time after 4 years as a customer.
Food and service are always great. This is my go-to breakfast place! Love it every time.
Terrible the food was so bad pancakes were raw and to much wait NEVER GO THERE
The eggs were garbage looking. No pride in how it’s served. Three times they tried to serve me and three times looked terrible. They allow their eggs to run all over a dirty grill and then they overcook. They charged me full price for a terrible breakfast. Never again. Zero out of five.
Amazing food and staff. we didn’t like a smoothie and they instantly changed it. Food was delicious as always. Portions are more than anyone should eat 😀
My wife and I ordered through Uber Eats. I ordered the avocado eggs Benedict, it does not look anywhere close to what the image from the site looks like. They literally just show everything into the box not layering anything properly and not even putting hollandaise on the meal. You pay a premium through Uber eats to cover the cost the restaurant had to pay for the service so at minimum I expect the same level of detail and quality as if I am in the restaurant. The way the food is packaged by the kitchen has no relevance to it being delivery or dine in. The kitchen staff clearly don't care. As an owner I would be really looking into the quality coming out of the kitchen. I can see multiple recent reviews that speak to the same issues. Just look at how my meal came vs the image from the restaurant. Old avocado not uniformly cut and just thrown in there. The Benedict not structured and no hollandaise...why would anyone want to order from here...$60 for 2 meals. That's insane!

If I could, I would give this place zero stars. We visited last Saturday around noon, and despite the restaurant being far from crowded with plenty of empty tables around us, the service was beyond awful. For 20-25 minutes, not a single staff member approached us to offer water or take our order. Finally, we flagged down a server(Melissa) and mentioned that we were still waiting. She went back and never returned to the table. Frustrated, we left the restaurant entirely. She saw us leaving and didn’t even attempt to address the situation or apologize. Later, I spoke with the senior staff and head chef to report this appalling behavior, only to observe that other diners seemed equally dissatisfied. This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant in terms of service. Cannot say much about the food since we never even got to that stage. Avoid this place at all costs. I seriously hope the management takes these reviews seriously and makes some immediate changes.

Server was great and very friendly. Regarding the food, since when did scrambled eggs look like this? It was awful. The fact that someone thought this was okay be served to a customer is unacceptable.

Absolutely awful service at the B&F Oakville branch today (around 12:30pm). After being seated and handed menus, we waited nearly 20 minutes without a single server approaching us - even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy with free tables available. Meanwhile, other tables around us were being served. Frustrated, we finally reached out to a server to ask if someone would be taking our order. Although she said someone would, no one showed up, and after waiting another 5-10 minutes, we decided to leave. Completely unacceptable experience - we won’t be coming back! And I sincerely hope the manager does something about this lousy customer service.

Fair warning, if you want a decent breakfast go literally anywhere else. My husband and I went for breakfast and had a horrible experience start to finish. Very slow, beverages in disposable cups, under cooked and just gross food. The worst “avocado toast” (if you can even call it that) soggy bread with what seemed to be a butter like layer of guacamole (the kind you get in a tub) with moldy spinach. Don’t waste your time or money.
Haven't gone wrong here. Really good menu choices. Service can be spotty, but not enough to lose a star over it. Don't need to go hoity-toity in Oakville.
