Borgo Antico Cucina Bar

I'm back with another review which might be against the rules but the restaurant just released a new menu and we were there for the first night. There are so many great choices with the extensive new offerings that it will take several visits to try them all. On night one the lamb spiedini was the winner!

First time at Borgo and the food and service were awesome. Appetizerss/Shareables: Grilled artichokes were tender and seasoned to perfection, and the cauliflower bites were so good. The Burrato was very good too, though the skin on the caramelized squash was a bit tough to contend with - still everything else on that platter was really good. Pasta: we had the Rigatoni and the Gnocchi - fantastic flavours, tender homemade pasta. Service: Attentive, without being intrusive. Atmosphere: a little noisy, not too bad. If you're having dinner just before sunset, you may want to avoid sitting at the very front as the sun might be in your eyes, as was our case. But we will quickly moved to another very nice table further back. We really enjoyed our meals, and will be back.

Excellent Italian restaurant located in the heart of Oakville downtown Lakeshore. The food is authentic and delicious, and the service is wonderful!

It was my first time and I went with a couple friends for my birthday. It's a nice cozy atmosphere with music and tvs playing in the background. Tino looked after us and recommended some great options on the menu. Everything came out in a timely manner and the food was great. Would definitely recommend and will be back again! 10/10

Although we hadn't been here in awhile the staff remembered us. Every time we visit. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious. One of my favourite Oakville restaurants.

Absolutely the best food - appetizer was the burrata. What a lovely change of pace from the norm! The short rib dinner and gnocchi were outstanding!! The chocolate cake was different but tasty. We'd go back in a heartbeat!! In fact it's a new favourite for us!!

I recently dined at this Italian restaurant and was extremely disappointed by the small portions of food that were served. The prices were quite high for the amount of food that was given, leaving me feeling hungry and unsatisfied after the meal.

Not only were the portions tiny, but the quality of the food was nothing to write home about. I left the restaurant feeling like I had been robbed of a satisfying dining experience.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a hearty Italian meal. Save your money and go somewhere else where you can actually leave the restaurant feeling satisfied.

We often dine out in Oakville but unsure why we've never been here before. It was an unexpected pleasant surprise and likely to become our ‘go to' restaurant which we've been looking for since Jonathon's closed several years ago. Everything about the dining experience exceeded our expectations but what set it apart was how they made the evening feel personal. It felt more than just a place to have great food and wine with outstanding service.
