Had an absolutely lovely dinner here last night. For our main dish I ordered the zucchini noodles and he ordered the lamb. Both servings were presented beautifully. The zucchini noodles were a sage option for a first try. They were good but I’m definitely trying something else next time. My friend who had the lamb shank said it was to die for. I tried a little bite and it certainly was flavourful. For starters we ordered the crunchy cauliflower and the garlic fries. I was really excited for the crunchy cauliflower but did not realize there was a spicy sauce on the cauliflower and actually broke out into a minor allergic reaction. My partner loved the cauliflower and was able to finish them off. It didn’t deteriorate from my experience we just kinda wished there was food descriptions when ordering the food. Regardless he loved them and I could tell that they would be super delicious for anyone who could actually eat them. The garlic fries were yummy. Pretty similar to the ones the serve at earls. A good skinny garlic fry. Our waitress was lovely. She even knew the good drinks to recommend. I would 100% come back here and I can’t wait to try what else is on the menu. The only thing I didn’t love was that the menu options did not have descriptions of what was in the food or how it was prepared. I’m assuming it’s just the vibe of the restaurant but I felt silly asking so many questions about the different options. Regardless, I’m definitely coming back (:
Just came in for a pick up. Garlic aioli fries!! Taken care by the person running the floor and he was amazingggg.
Nice and cozy, the review goes to Lianna she's so friendly and she helped us with good recommendations.
Good food and service. Had a great evening with the family. The tables are distanced so you feel safe.
Good welcome and fast service on a Friday night. The salmon salad was good, the grilled branzino tasty, even if unusually already in filet form, over a nice bed of grilled veggies. I would not recommend the lemon pavlova, a bit too sweet and moist for my pavlova taste ;-) good and very professional service with a lovely smile. Nice place to relax with friends . Thanks
We three adults had lunch at 2pm Sunday, Sept 26. The burger & fries was very good, the Turkey BLT was good and the Turkey Lasagna was bland. The real source of disappointment was that 3 staff were maskless and no attempt was made to keep the many guests wearing theirs. A large party, a christening perhaps, of maybe 40 people wore no masks as they roamed freely around the restaurant, repeatedly walking in and out. Other customers from different parties did the same. One male server, reddish hair in a ponytail, constantly walked throughout the restaurant maskless, 2 other staff were seen once without. This could make for an easy super-spreader event, especially since every guest hugged & or kissed several others.
Our first time at Bru.Our lunch was tasty and luckily they are on the south side of the street so we were in the shade!
Food was excellent, very well presented and very tasty. This would have been a five, but the washrooms were absolutely disgusting(!) and it seemed obvious they had not been cleaned regularly for a while. Threw us totally off ever returning
Service was good, however my food was a big disappointment. Ordered fish & chips, however the fish was way overcooked and so hard I could not cut it.
This restaurant is my favored. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very cordial and the food they offer is so appetizing. I never decline to have a nice meal in this place. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, very friendly staff & service was quick.
Gorge and Vector you are awesome you make our night, we showed up at 8 reservation for 6 and everyone walk med out so happy. Giving you 5 stars for your service. Thanks for both of you
We were excited to be able to get out to a restaurant and the food was very good but we were VERY shocked and uncomfortable at what little regard they had to the Covid protocols. Although our tables were spread out, there had to have been at least 50 customers in the entire restaurant (we counted 18 in our room alone, a table of 6 and the owner/ manager was walking around with his bandanna around his neck more than it was around his mouth and nose. Disappointed for our first dinner out as it’s a great little spot.
Visited them in December 2020 before the 2nd lockdown. The service was iffy but overall it was good experience. Ambiance is quite good, the food was not bad, and the beer choices were decent.
My husband and I were so excited to finally get out of the house and go visit one of our favourite places on Lakeshore. We were shocked when we noticed “Bru” was no longer a restaurant... it’s now one large space combining Bru and Seasons. We called prior to push back our reservation as we were running behind, and the lady on the phone was super short/rude. We put that aside and showed up - we weren’t greeted when we walked in and the staff seemed in a frenzy. Our service was horrible - we felt rushed the entire time. On top of the food being ‘okay’, they were not following COVID protocols in the slightest. There were at least more than 50 people in the restaurant, about 20 sitting around us alone. The (manager?) was walking around without a mask the entire time while serving food/walking by closely to customers (his bandana/mask was around his neck) - we were shocked, and in my opinion in today’s day and age, that’s just ignorant. Needless to say, we were extremely uncomfortable, but stayed thinking the experience may turn around as we were so excited to be out and about. All in all, we will not be going back. Get your act together re: COVID protocols.
