Bronte needs this pub, and we hope it stays! Food was mostly really good (Vegan Shepherds Pie was average, Masala, Pie and Mash, and Beef Stew were great). REALLY nice to see people actually dining in the indoor part of this restaurant, but it needs a little more character.. love the round tables a lot, but the room is lacking the cozy English pub charm. This place is still new, and I know it is still growing and changing, so I'm excited to see what the owners do with it. We will come back!

It's hard to write this review, since you can tell the workers/servers enjoy what they do at the Marine Tavern. However, the food is nearly inedible and certainly not worth the amount that they charge.

Food was very mediocre and the place itself was a fail; its certainly not a pub, just a small room with too many tables jammed in it. The lighting was dim grey/blue fluorescent and it was really hard to read the menu and even though it was only half full it was very noisy. Our group had soup, potato skins, chip buttie, fish and chips, chicken sandwich, vegan pie and the sticky toffee pudding; all very average. Service was good though, friendly and attentive staff.

This place is a great new local to the area. Ian is a fabulous server and the food is delicious and made in house. Can't wait to see this become the next hot spot to be at in Bronte!

We didn't know what to expect as this restaurant is on a soft opening. It was reasonably busy and a little noisy with some families in the restaurant which is to be expected. The service was outstanding and the food was great, we were 4 Brits and enjoyed our chip butties, the vegan shepherds pie was delicious along with the pie and mash. Will definitely be returning.

The food and service were great. The lighting in the dining room isn't great, hence the four stars rather than five. It was both bright and dim at the same time. Everyone was using their flashlights to see the menu.

First visit, but will probably try again. It is a small venue and the tables are bulky and very close together. Service was very good and prompt. Soup was good, but the Club was lacking. My wife had the fish and chips and she thought they were too greasy. I imagine that it can get quite noisy when all the tables are occupied. It's a great location and should do especially well in the spring/summer/fall when there is a lot of pedestrian traffic. Still relatively new so I am sure they are working out some kinks.

Nice lunch with a friend at the Cove. Seafood linguine was tasty but could have used a bit more seafood. My friend enjoyed her fish and chips. Service was friendly and good. Ambience is somewhat lacking. Could use a cosier feel and more interesting decor.

The atmosphere is definitely nice. But the service and food is beyond disappointing!first, We arrived around 4:30 there’s 4 tables that’s empty at the window with sunshine and all that and we asked for the table but the waitress told us it’s all reserved, so be it but we stayed there for couple drinks for 2 hours. The tables are empty for that entire 2 hours?! I’m not sure if it’s racism cuz we are Asian or we look like tourists so they won’t see us in the future anyway? The service from the receptionist is so bad that I’ve never seen before. Second the clam chowder we order is only filled half bowl, the portion of the food is so small. Be careful what you order

The food was so tasty, service was top notch, and the ambiance felt like a great vacation vibe for our Sunday afternoon lunch on the patio with our dog. The space inside is very nicely designed, too. We can't wait to go back and try the dinner!Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free options.

I'm not a fish eater but this place has a few dishes in their menu that i absolutely love! I love the basil Smash cocktail also! This time I had the kale salad with chicken. Awesome. Table service was great. The ambience is beautiful on a summer/early fall day.

Sadly, if it wasn't for the great company, I would probably have raise the following issue to the server. 1) Two of us ordered the Poke Bowl. VERY disappointed. This is in no way worth $22. Freshii makes a FAR superior product for half the price. Heck, I make them at home and I would put mine up against what we were served any day. The breakdown: Once you dig down into the 3/4 bowl of rice, there is MAYBE 2 tablespoons of actual tuna that is almost to the point of being minced and has little to no flavour. To the left was MAYBE 4 pieces of leafy greens, about an Oz of seaweed salad, 3 crumbled pieces of wonton and absolutely COVERED in a thick dressing. Not even remotely close to the quality expected for the price. 2) We rushed through our dinner by multiple servers. I actually became somewhat stressful! Won't go back.

Food is okay, service is very slow but view is incredible. I’d recommend for drinks and maybe an appetizer. Got the fish and chips and the fish was mostly breading with very small

To begin with, there were huge puddles in the centre of the floor of the restaurant from rain water that had dropped from the roof down and not a single wet floor sign (lawsuit waiting to happen). Waiters and waitresses were walking through puddles to serve their tables and funny enough one of them actually had an ankle cast boot on that i wondered if she got from a shift. Our server remarked herself that she had slipped more than once because of them. The price per plate is absolutely ridiculous because the food is not that good, meaning i wouldn’t mind the price if the food had actually been half decent. The kicker was waking up this morning with food poising symptoms after having had an underwhelming seafood linguine. Beautiful restaurant and location but with a lot of internal work required. Do not recommend.

Went for dinner with family for my daughter's birthday. She's home from work today with diarrhea. Likely culprit was the seafood linguini or perhaps a bad mussel. Very expensive for what it was. Chicken wings I ordered had a little bit of celery and carrot 'grated' on top- very cheap cost saving measure if you ask me. The roof was leaking on the floor in many spots. The wait staff had to walk around floor puddles. I was tempted to fall...
