Croissant Express Bakery

My, now husband, and I found Croissant Express Bakery during our dating phase in 2023. Two years laters Croissant Express bakery continues to be our weekly go to destination, a testament to the amazing croissants (pistachio is our favourite), fresh baked sourdough grilled cheese and divine napolean dessert! The management (Sara) and staff make you feel welcomed and remember you by name, including your favourite items to order. The croissants are my favourite of all, a perfect mix of buttery outer crunch and ooie-gooie buttery goodness inside. If we miss a week, we feel it and crave to be back again. Always a wonderful experience, Croissant Express Bakery and team are a true gem.

This is our go to for croissants. Their pistachio croissants are amazing. We have never had a bad dessert or meal here. The sourdough bread, Napoleon squares, apple fritters, grilled cheese, banana bread, almond croissants and chocolate croissants are all fantastic. Sara and her team are always friendly and smiling. The staff remembers your orders and take time out of their day to have a genuine conversation with you. The coffee is great. The cafe/bakery has an amazing vibe. This keeps us coming back week after week.

The most amazing iced chai here! Great portions for the price too. Dainty and wholesome vibe.

Sara, the owner, recommended that I try their organic iced chai - and let me say I’ve never had an iced chai as perfect as this one. Usually from other places the chai is either not as strong as I wanted, not milky enough or not sweet enough. As a person who likes drinks on the more sweeter end, this bakery nailed it!

They’ve set the standard high and I don’t think I’ll be ordering a chai from anywhere else. It was just the perfect sweetness and I’m craving more as I’m writing this review.

The business under the new management will provide you with unexceptional service. I would highly recommend spending your weekend for a full meal or a morning coffee with delicious croissant.

Croissant Express Bakery is a charming little spot with great coffee, buttery croissants, and delicious moon-shaped shortbread cookies. The decor is cute and cozy, and Sara provided friendly and quick service. We enjoyed sitting outside on their quaint patio and ended up ordering more croissants to take home. A lovely experience all around.

one of my good friends took me here to grab a coffee and croissant and it was one of the best decisions ever. the baked treats are extremely good (the filled croissants are amazing and my favourite is the pistachio) and the service is stellar. I drove all the way from toronto just to pick up some croissants for a special someone; Sarah helped me out that day and even gave me a flower someone had given her. Sarah if you’re reading this thanks a tonne you’re the best. i HIGHLY recommend whoever is reading this to drop in and check it out for yourself as you wont be disappointed.

Very good option if you want to have something quick for breakfast, the highway exit is short and the croissants are delicious. Be careful, your coffee burns a lot, you have to wait.

We have been coming to croissant express for over 30 years . We moved and still have to order for special occasions and drive down . Food /service has always been amazing .

Today’s order was overcooked , and tasted/looked different , prompting me to call in and ask if they had a change in staff /owners recently .

They assured me everything was the same , not sure if quality has dropped or if this was a one off .

They did offer for us to return them and remake , if we were local we would have chosen this option but we sadly are one hour away .

$63 for a dozen ( six choc filled , six almond )

Still giving a 4 star hoping it’s not their new standard .

Small cafe with a big heart in downtown Oakville. Outdoor seating weather permitting can not be beaten, but you are street side not in a private patio. Sandwiches are delicious, baked goods & drinks are ok, not great.

I recently visited this bakery and, unfortunately, left feeling disappointed. It took quite a while before anyone acknowledged me at the counter, and after placing my order, I waited several more minutes for it to be ready. Sadly, the problems didn’t stop there. My chai latte arrived barely warm, and the mug it came in was visibly dirty, with what appeared to be leftover lipstick stains as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned after being used by someone else. I had also ordered a jam cookie, hoping for better, but it turned out to be stale. The bakery itself was rather disorderly, which, after the service I experienced, wasn’t entirely surprising. Overall, the experience was upsetting, and I would have asked for a refund if anyone had been available at the counter to assist me.

This place was absolutely terrible and filthy. Their machinery for their items are broken and from what I’ve seen they haven’t paid their employees for some time. They do not know how to run a business nor understand employee rights. This is a huge health and safety violation and I dont know how they are still operating. There is no way this place has passed inspection and it needs to be shut down the owners are thieves to their own employees.

Do NOT support or work at this bakery!! I worked here for a few months and absolutely enjoyed the environment and working with my colleagues. Quickly I realized I had to quit because I was getting cut short on ALL of my pay cheques. I soon realized this is the same scenario for each staff member. This bakery is ran with no ethical consideration for its loyal and hardworking employees and is exploiting its staff. Avoid this place at all costs.
