Very good option if you want to have something quick for breakfast, the highway exit is short and the croissants are delicious. Be careful, your coffee burns a lot, you have to wait.

We have been coming to croissant express for over 30 years . We moved and still have to order for special occasions and drive down . Food /service has always been amazing .

Today’s order was overcooked , and tasted/looked different , prompting me to call in and ask if they had a change in staff /owners recently .

They assured me everything was the same , not sure if quality has dropped or if this was a one off .

They did offer for us to return them and remake , if we were local we would have chosen this option but we sadly are one hour away .

$63 for a dozen ( six choc filled , six almond )

Still giving a 4 star hoping it’s not their new standard .

Small cafe with a big heart in downtown Oakville. Outdoor seating weather permitting can not be beaten, but you are street side not in a private patio. Sandwiches are delicious, baked goods & drinks are ok, not great.

I recently visited this bakery and, unfortunately, left feeling disappointed. It took quite a while before anyone acknowledged me at the counter, and after placing my order, I waited several more minutes for it to be ready. Sadly, the problems didn’t stop there. My chai latte arrived barely warm, and the mug it came in was visibly dirty, with what appeared to be leftover lipstick stains as if it hadn’t been properly cleaned after being used by someone else. I had also ordered a jam cookie, hoping for better, but it turned out to be stale. The bakery itself was rather disorderly, which, after the service I experienced, wasn’t entirely surprising. Overall, the experience was upsetting, and I would have asked for a refund if anyone had been available at the counter to assist me.

This place was absolutely terrible and filthy. Their machinery for their items are broken and from what I’ve seen they haven’t paid their employees for some time. They do not know how to run a business nor understand employee rights. This is a huge health and safety violation and I dont know how they are still operating. There is no way this place has passed inspection and it needs to be shut down the owners are thieves to their own employees.

Do NOT support or work at this bakery!! I worked here for a few months and absolutely enjoyed the environment and working with my colleagues. Quickly I realized I had to quit because I was getting cut short on ALL of my pay cheques. I soon realized this is the same scenario for each staff member. This bakery is ran with no ethical consideration for its loyal and hardworking employees and is exploiting its staff. Avoid this place at all costs.

I’m deeply disappointed to learn that this coffee shop does not pay its staff and even takes the tips that customers leave for them. It’s unacceptable that the hardworking employees are not only underappreciated but also denied their rightful wages and tips.

Supporting a business that mistreats its staff goes against the values of fairness and respect. I strongly urge others to avoid this place until they start treating their employees with the dignity and compensation they deserve.

Coffee is cheap, Food looks good but the place is
so dirty looking from the ceiling to the floor . The whole place
needs a coat of paint and a clean up

Do Not Support This Business, my friend used to work here, the owners( Hanieh and Kiana) are not giving staff money and they are stealing tips, due to this all of friendly staff are gone!

I was recently made aware that employees of Croissant Express are not paid for their work. The owner Hanieh does not pay employees for the amount of hours they put in, cutting them short on both pay cheques and tip money that they have rightfully earned.

This is disgusting and completely unethical. I will not support any business that refuses to pay employees fairly, and takes advantage of those who won’t raise their voice and advocate for their rights as employees.

I would advise any and all people to avoid Croissant Express until they acknowledge their unethical behaviour and compensate employees fairly.

I recently visited Croissant Express and was deeply disappointed. The pastries were stale and lacked the buttery flakiness you'd expect from a good bakery. The service was indifferent at best; I felt like an inconvenience rather than a customer. The space itself was unkempt, which didn’t inspire much confidence in the food. Overall, my experience was underwhelming, and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for quality baked goods.

Unfortunately this bakery / cafe despite a very long history in downtown Oakville has gone horribly downhill in recent months
I used to work there as my first summer job almost 18 years ago
Then it was owned and operated by different people who knew how to deal and serve people professionally
I was there recently with my wife and I was so disappointed to find the place really dirty and no body there knew how to talk and serve customers
Long waiting time just to get acknowledged and service was so slow and unorganized that I could not believe it
I talked to one of my friends after my visit to the croissant express . she said apparently the owners do not care and just taking the money from over charging people and not even paying their employees
Everyone who works there are owed lots of money to the point which makes them think twice a but quitting their jobs
The shop deserve better management who clean up the shop throughout and knows how to run the business properly
Over all do not go there so the owners get the point and clean up their acts
