My family and I had a wonderful dining experience at El Spero. Everyone, including the kids could agree the food was delicious. Mary was our server. She was very friendly and helpful with suggestions for lunch. The restaurant itself is so nice. We will definitely be returning!

My 2nd time with El spero but my 1st time at lakeshore location. Great restaurant, very clean, spacious, and staff was great. However very disappointed with flat pop and fish tasted bad. Fries were delicious. Love tarter sauce. I asked for fresh fish which was better but not 100 percent. I thought very expensive but prices were reasonable. I would go back but different meal. but pick lots of parking. On public transit. Sometimes in restaurant you have good cook and not so good. We will come back in again.

Taking advantage of people on a tax holiday by increasing your menu prices. How shady can you be

Scumbags decided to raise their prices during the holiday tax break to gouge their patrons, and hoped no one would notice. There are plenty of honest family restaurants that care about their customers to try instead.
I was going to go but compared the prices on Friday vs today after the GST tax break went into effect. They increased their menu by $2. Very slimy behaviour. I decided not to come because of this
I went for breakfast the other day and our food was fairly basic and tasteless. Not even adding salt and pepper helped much. It makes sense given the majority of customers are geriatric. I wouldn’t spend my own money here again.

El Spero is a good family restaurant, been going there for years, I do get breakfast every time, so this review is only based on breakfast. The breakfast itself has improved over the years, a few homefries out of every batch used to be undercooked back in the day but now they are more much more consistent. The pancakes, eggs, and toast are usually consistent and great. The bacon is 90% good, sometimes undercooked. The service is usually welcoming, and because it is a family restaurant the community wants to see it succeed.
A major area for improvement and something the owners need to work on is the hot chocolate, the price increases every year and the quantity decreases, the last time I went there (today) even the whipped cream didn't reach the top of the cup it was basically a half cup. If someone's getting a half cup, they should pay half price. Soon it will be $7 and quarter cup at this rate so I felt that I needed to mention here, hopefully someone will see it, maybe no one will, who knows.
At the end of the day I'm rooting for this restaurant, they've been an Oakville staple for me for a while and I think they'll be around for a long time to come if they keep improving things.

I was going to post a review but my 11 year old niece said it all. The food was cold, she got a bone in her chicken wrap and the owner was rude to us. She also said"since when don't eggs retain heat"? Referring to them sitting under their heat lights.
Great family restaurant. Good service, good prices, fast service.

The atmosphere was vibrant and service was excellent. Food was average in taste. Quality is not bad but nothing unique about the place. Coffee was below average in taste .. very mild not for someone who likes it strong. The taste of chocolate in hot chocolate was also below par.
We ordered a El Spero breakfast and a sandwich. The food was high in salt. The server did offer to replace it but said that the bacon in those are always a bit salty. I wish there was options other than home fries. Didn't feel like paying $4 extra for fruits substitution.
We went there after so many good reviews but not sure what the hype is about. Maybe the atmosphere is the hype not the food!
Parking: You can go for a walk at Bronte after food by placing your receipt at the dash board.
