We thought we were going out for a Japanese experience but ended up getting an inexperienced Indian chef who botched the food. Huge disappointment and waste of money. Entertaining show with an engaging chef and lots of choices for proteins. Everything tasted pretty good and obvious freshly cooked right in front of you. Not something to do too often since the routine is very rehearsed but a good fun time. You might have to wait few minutes for the table to fill up if it’s not busy but there was a fair amount of people even on a quiet weekday evening.

Ive been to a few Hibachis this one was ok. Food was good. Service wasn't great. Our chef was really boring. Our waitress forgot our rice. Had to ask for it. The appetizer came after our meal. They just didnt have it together.

Dinner AND a show! You really can't eat everything they make in front of you. There's so much food( depending on what you order of course). Super friendly people, very experienced chefs, prices are super reasonable. It was just a great experience with a lot of laughs. Would go back, have gone back, lol. Food is fresh and healthy compared to other options out there. If you've never been you really need to go try it.

We ordered a few combo meals from Hibachi Oakville during the Canada Day event at Bronte Waterpark 2025 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
The pop-up setup had no proper lighting, making it nearly impossible to see the food being served — even the staff were using phone flashlights to take orders and process payments, which felt unprofessional and chaotic.
We ordered the shrimp combo and chicken combo, but both were mixed together, and portion sizes were extremely small — barely half a takeout box. For the price we paid, this was unacceptable.
That said, the food itself was tasty, which made the experience even more frustrating — because it could’ve been so much better with proper planning, presentation, and value.
We hope the team at Hibachi Oakville takes this feedback seriously for future events.

Wasn’t great. Went a couple years ago and loved it, but my experience this time was much worse. The ladies that host and serve are very kind and helpful, but the experience itself was super lacklustre. Our chef had negative enthusiasm, didn’t care to engage us, and drowned the food in soy sauce. There were 7 people who upgraded the plain rice for chicken friend rice (the upgrade is $4.50 per person, which is not cheap for rice), and the amount of chicken allotted for 7 potions of chicken fried rice was ridiculous. See the photo for reference. It would have been suitable for one persons portion, not divided 7 ways.
I’d rate the food a 6.5/10, honestly just average. You’d 100% be served better food at a normal al la cart restaurant.

I shared a plate of two proteins with my wife as we were on a diet. Turns out that was more than enough. The steak was and salmon were great. I loved the fried ice cream. The server was very friendly and the overall service was good. It is a little bit pricey though.
