Been here once before and the food and vibe was good. Visited last week again and was surprised by the price and quantity of oxtail dish ordered.. Small Oxtail and Rice with beans $20..the food container was 1/2 filled.. no Cold Slaw or salad and meat was quite scarce.. l realize Oxtail is expensive but $20 is crazy high for what was received

They barely had much to sell because they just came back from vacation and had to replace a lot of things but believe me the stew chicken and white rice was so delicious I was even thinking of going back to get a second plate. They didn't even have vegetables ready to serve on the side what the flavor of this meal compensated for the lack. I'm definitely going back there because I have to taste everything on that menu

Grew up near by used to come regularly and it was a family favorite. Been gone for many years and happened to stop in last week after a friend reminded me of this spot. Was unreal then. And equally as good now with reasonable pricing

An unassuming place packing a punch ! Just in the area and searching for some food to wake up my taste buds...this place just located on the NS service road turned out pretty good. Tried the famous rice and peas and jerk chicken with Cole slaw ..Mmmm !

Sorry but oxtail was fatty and tough. Large you get like 8 pieces of goat at 24 .00. Will I go again nope. And this place is run by Carribbean ppl.. And you can dine in but no washrooms

Arrived at the restaurant at 7:20 because Google said Irie closes at 8:00 but they were already closed. What a waste of time. If you’re gonna say what time you’re open until, you should honour it!
Came here as I was in the neighbourhood and googled oxtail near me.
To be honest i was surprised to find this place as it is in a hidden part of Oakville and I've never heard of this resturant.
Arrived at location and it litteraly a hole in the wall. The front door was open and the smell of delicious food hit me immediately.
Got an extremely friendly welcome when I got inside and let them know it was my first time.
I eat out a lot and the jerk chicken was the BEST I've ever had in my life. It was super tender yet extremely well seasoned. The perfect jerk chicken with crispy skin yet so soft and moist. The owner explained how the marinade and rub is home made.
Also tried the oxtail and it was also delicious. Big pieces and lots of gravy and the rice and beans had a little coconut flavour.
Oh and the hot sauce was pure scotch bonnet and homemade.
I am happy that I found my new Jamaican place.
Give it a try. Highly recommended.
Apparently they have been in business 20 years.

I would have given the 6/5 if I could. Fresh, spicy (as requested) and by far the best patties and jerk chicken I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot. Reasonably priced too. Will definitely comeback multiple times.

I went the other day with some friends and it was actually my first time having real Jamaican food. Man, it was phenomenal. I was so impressed with the Jerk chicken. Great portion size, fair price, I will for sure come back!
