Kelseys Original Roadhouse

This was not our first time at Kelsey's as we usually really enjoy going there. This was by far our worst experience. We were there at 5:30pm, it wasn't busy but our waitress I think kept forgetting us. It took ordering a glass of water 3 times before I got it over a 30 minute period of time. My husband ordered the ultimate burger and it arrived cold and raw. She took it away, so I ate slowly as we waited for his new burger. There was no apologies. My sweet potato fries were cold but I didn't say anything as it would have just taken longer. I had the steak sandwich and the meat was so chewy I could barely eat it. It took about 15-20 minutes for my husband to get his replacement burger, still no apologies. She did bring him a new order of sweet potato fries while he waited on his burger. Then it took another 20 minutes after we finished before someone came by so we could ask for the bill. We did have dessert, and it was really good. Overall not a great experience. I would have thought a manager or someone would have come over to apologize or something, maybe even offer a discount or free dessert, but nothing, not even an apology. Not impressed with this visit which is very disappointing.

We went Thursday night for half price wings. Wings were very good. Service very good as well. We started at a booth by the window and being very cold outside the draft came through the wall. We asked to move to another booth on the inside of the restaurant. Temperature was better but we still felt the restaurant temperature was cool. Otherwise very good

Met my two buddies from high school for my birthday lunch and all three of us are in our 60s We all went for the lunch specials, which were excellent And birthday boy got a free Butterfinger crunch ice cream cake for dessert Our server, Amanda P couldn't have been . She was very efficient and help us navigate the menu and was a wonderful cheerful woman  We will definitely be back

Awesome experience. Just didn't give 5 for service because once it got full the place our waitress forgot us. She checked on us later but we already started our dinner without plates for the chicken wings.

The receipt we had said our server was named Wazowski (I simultaneously hope that's a joke but also that it's his real name lol). He was amazing. Very attentive, friendly, made sure we always had everything we needed. I wish servers everywhere were like him. Thank you, Mike (lol)!!

Taylor and Maddie are such amazing servers, they make every experience at Kelsey’s so memorable and fun. They are so wonderful!!

Great experience! Nathan/ Nate was our server and he was great, very personable and got everything we asked for quickly and with ease. I got the chicken wings and cheddar broccoli soup and my husband got a burger with a side of fries and extra side of fries. It was all great and came promptly. We don’t normally go to chain restaurants. So I am grading this compared to other chains, as I do tend to find the food better / fresher at individually owned places. But overall it was a great experience and very affordable for a night out.

Terrible experience. The server clearly didn't want to be there. He barely spoke to us and never checked on our entrees or we would have told him that not one of the 3 of us were enjoying our meal. The food tasted like it was from a fast restaurant and was way over seasoned with cajan spice. We waited forever for the server to clear the table and when he finally came back we asked for the bill and he threw the bill and machine on the table and never returned. I have worked in the restaurant industry for over 25 years, I can forgive a lot but this restaurant simply doesn't care about the guest experience at all. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Went for lunch after the noon Christmas Eve service at Hope. I had the “Ultimate Bacon Cheese Burger”. It was ok. The beef patties seemed to have been cooked earlier and simply reheated. The “double smoked bacon” appeared to be a slice of smokey pea meal bacon. The fries were obviously mass produced frozen fries. Overall: as I was hungry, it hit the spot. Had a pint of Molson Canadian draught with it. Wife had the triangle sandwich. She liked it and enjoyed her medium sized glass of Pinot Grigio. Came with the same frozen fries. Son had “Chicken Fried Chicken”. He said it had some heat to it but wasn’t bad. Had the same frozen fries and freshly steamed broccoli. He had the same beer as me. Came to $85 and no tax. Now I have to figure out what to do with the tax money that I saved…. Overall, I’d call it expensive fast food.

Great place for many, but nothing vegan and meagre vegetarian options.

Vegetarian options: Very little. Besides the beyond burger there are no other meals with plant based proteins offered.

Location and service was great but food taste was a little disappointing. The only item that our party raved about was the burger. All other meals were okay or in my case disappointing (steak with crab/lobster sauce). Steak was ordered medium and arrived very well done. I did mention it to the server but I had no interest in sending it back just to be thrown out. Regardless of how it's cooked, it needed flavour and the crab/lonster sauce does not provide that). We still love Kelsey's and will definitely give it another try and just order different meals. Thank you for hosting us and happy holidays to all!
