Horrible service and attention to health standards. My family ordered their chicken karagge and it was served lukewarm at best. When this was raised as a concern to the waiter, she only offered to “warm it up” in what I assume to be a microwave vs having the kitchen cook a fresh batch. We also ordered the chirashi don and I it was left at the pass for over 10 mins before they brought it to our table… raw food just sitting out in a warm area with three waiters walking by. Do not entertain this location!

Love Boat truly lives up to its name! It was our first time trying it, and we were looking for a delicious yet affordable option. This place meet our expectations. The portion was perfect for two, and we absolutely loved every bite. The flavors were amazing, and the experience was delightful. We’ll definitely be coming back!

We came on a Saturday afternoon for lunch and ordered a chirashi don, a Sashimi B plate (and added an order of sushi rice), and the special spicy tuna & salmon maki.

The fish tasted great, the butter fish stood out and was better than expected. Also, good portions! However, we found the fish quality/selection for the chirashi to be better at the Mississauga location. The only other thing was that the rice texture seemed closer to regular rice than sushi rice, especially for the maki.

I really liked the soup as well.

Service was excellent, they regularly checked in and we didn’t wait long between different parts of service.

This is our regular go to place (mostly every week). Sorry to say that last week after ordering the sashimi I was ill overnight. I've never had this happen at any Japanese restaurant before. I also found more recently, that the newer staff are not as "polished" or "on the ball" as some of the more seasoned regular staff we've experienced in the past. Lastly the 10% cash discount is now 5%.

here for a visit and was craving sushi so looked on door dash and this looked the best. Can 10/10 say this is some of the best nigiri I’ve ever had, fish was thick and fresh, great rice proportion. The butter fish was probably one of the best pieces of fish I’ve ever had. Spicy tuna roll is fine, needed more mayo, but yummy spicy edamame and seaweed salad! Would recommend!

The sushi here is great. Actually all the menu items are great. Unfortunately my experience ordering through Uber is not the same. They frequently forget items (today they forgot to send a soup I ordered) or forget to add utensils and soya sauce even though I explicity asked for them in the instructions. This happened on more than an occasion. If you want to order through Uber, I'd order from the Hurontario location.

The food is great. However they are in dire need of better management. The take out entrance is at the back of the restaurant where the kitchen is. Literally have to walk through the kitchen with a greasy dirty floor in a tight hallway. I slipped and hurt myself. They're lucky I didn't sue.

Parking: The place based on Lakeshore street, the main one of Downtown Oakville, so there are a lot of parking places around.

UPDATE- Day 2: We placed our second order from Kibo today, November 26th, after enjoying amazing sushi from them the other night. This time, we ordered three Spicy Tuna rolls and a Green Dragon roll.

Unfortunately, a few pieces of the Spicy Tuna rolls were so fishy that we had to spit them out. This was a disappointing contrast to our previous experience, and we’re unsure if we’ll order from here again.

Consistency is important to me when it comes to sushi, and today’s experience did not match the quality we had just a few days ago.

Day 1: After seeing a few mixed reviews, my partner and I decided to give Kibo Sushi in Oakville a try (we ordered off Uber), and I’m so glad we did! It far exceeded our expectations and left a lasting impression.

We ordered three spicy tuna rolls, the beef tataki, and a crunchy avocado roll for our 1.5-year-old. Every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavor. As someone currently pregnant with my second child, sushi is my ultimate craving, and Kibo truly delivered.

We’ve been loyal to August 8 in the past, but their quality has noticeably declined lately. Kibo, on the other hand, completely blew us away. Every bite was delicious, and I found myself wishing we’d ordered more.

If you’re looking for a quick, satisfying sushi fix that doesn’t compromise on quality, I wholeheartedly recommend Kibo. It’s a gem in Oakville, and we’ll definitely be back!

I have to say I was disappointed, I love Kibo Sushi in Mississauga, it's my favorite place! But Oakville wasn't really good. Firstly, they messed up my order, even though I was very clear. Secondly, although made to order, the sushi's ingredients tasted like they were prepped long before, the texture was off, the salmon was fishy and overly chewy etc. Normally I'm addicted, I can't have enough when we order from Kibo Sushi in Mississauga, but I actually lost my appetite eating the Oakville location's Sushi.
