We drove a long distance to visit Macchu Picchu Restaurant and were very disappointed. We arrived Sunday at 12:30 p.m., and we were the only ones in the restaurant, yet we waited around 45 minutes for our food. The ají de gallina was served with rice and chicken (no potatoes, boiled eggs, or olives) the rice was raw and the flavor terrible. The ceviche was too salty, and the arroz con mariscos had no flavor at all. It’s sad that a simple Peruvian dish wasn’t good. If you don’t know how to make a Peruvian dish, please don’t do it.

Excellent plate of breakfast and served with a smile. Rarely do you see 5 different fruits on a omelette plate. Great home fried potatoes and omelette was done 👍🏻.

The music on Saturday was great and people seemed friendly, but the service at my table was a mess. I even filmed how my partner had to play waiter and beg for water over and over because no one would bring it. He had to carry the jug back like he worked there. Maybe because I didn't order alcohol and they weren't happy that I didn't spend the money, therefore not worthy of service. The food was fine, but the wait was brutal. I have trained restaurant staff before, and what I saw here looked like a team lost children that simply didn’t care about us. They focused on the regulars (also pretty bad) while our table might as well not have existed. The waitress smiled, but the smile didn’t change the facts in my experience as I documented everything. After a long day of work, the last thing anyone wants is no water, slow service, and dry, overpriced food. I run my own food & travel blogs and videos, and I plan to share this experience so people know what they are walking into. The service was unacceptable, and the evidence speaks for itself. If the restaurant come at me with excuses....trust me I 've worked busier nights like this with very little help and again, I got evidence.

Im here pretty much once a week, classic greasy spoon comfort always with a peruvian flare, and the staff are awesome!!!this place is an institution in the area, the whole neighbourhood goes there, for good reason.

It was the most wonderful culinary experience, the food was exquisitely tasty, The service excellent, Hector a young man With excellent service and respect for the client ( me ) and the food and drinks, Next day I ordered on line ( late I might add ) and asked for some items I ordered to be properly wrapped up for travelling, And they did, Thank you Machu Pichu restaurant, Hector and everyone there. I’m going back to Winnipeg happy and Will be talking about How good Machu Pichu restaurant is. Muchas gracias
