Very good!!!!Best fried rice I have ever had for the past 15 years. The fried rice is better than Chinese restaurants in China.

Nestled in Oakville, there's a Peruvian gem,Where the owner's love for his craft truly stems. From the moment you step in, you feel the care,Every detail's impeccable, nothing spared. The restaurant itself is a sight to behold,Beautifully adorned, with stories untold. But it's not just the aesthetics that amaze,The service is impeccable, setting the stage. As you indulge in the appetizers, you'll find,Corn and fried plantains, a savory bind. The owner's favorite, a lomo saltado delight,Tender beef strips, a culinary highlight. It's evident, with each dish that's served,Passion and dedication, perfectly preserved. In this Peruvian haven, every aspect shines,A testament to the owner's love, divine.

Food wasn't bad, but it was not as good as it used to be. I will go back and try other dishes and see how those are.

I was surprised to discover that Machu Picchu has merged with Fifties Diner. The decor is the same, but they are renovating the space next door. We ordered from both menus. See my review of the diner on the separate page. We ordered the grilled calamari which was cooked perfectly and came with a different kind of corn. IMuch larger kernels and the texture was different. It also came with a very spicy salsa which was so delicious I took the leftovers home and ate with my dinner tonight. We also ordered their fried corn kernals called ocopa con camarones. It also contained fried plantain and was beautifully seasoned. I could easily get addicted to that snack. I think that the the Fifties Diner is benefiting greatly from this incredible kitchen. Machu Picchu is excellent. Every dish is a goofy delight. And the service was excellent as well.

It was a strange time going to this place, it is located inside the 50's diner currently. They are doing modifications to where the restaurant is going to be. As such we can get diner food and Peruvian food at the same time.We got some Peruvian food and it was fantastic, I'd highly recommend it!

Simple looking diner converted to a Peruvian restaurant. We had a veg ceviche (palmitos) and the beef. Both were excellent, good size portions, and reasonably priced.Very genuine Peruvian food with good friendly service.Hidden gem.
