If I say this is the best bakery in the whole GTA, I'm not lying.
Everything is fresh, delicious, and beautiful.
The cakes are to die for!
And the staff: always friendly, happy to help and smiling

Service at this place has gone way downhill. So slow, rude cashier, guy coughing all over the place without covering his mouth at the hot counter.
I was there this afternoon the cashier when she cashed me out kept staring at me wth man felt uncomfortable I don’t like people starring at me

I don’t get the hype …. Been in a few times now and everything is average. I feel like this place used to be better than it was and is now running on nostalgia and local connivence. When talking to the bakery staff I learned they have started buying some stuff in, ok quality of the hot food counter and all the premade stuff I bought has been bland and really no better than a frozen option from a big box store.

Always love our weekend morning shopping at Monastery Bakery, everyone from the Coffee Bar to the Hot Table are so friendly and helpful! Not to mention The great food and great products they sell! So lucky to have a Genuine Italian bakery so close to home!

When we’re in the area, we always make it a point to stop by for fresh bread, deli meats, pastries, and cooked food. It’s a routine we never skip!
This place is a proper gem. Great grocer, great for catering, amazing hot counter (for takeout) and an awesome bakery. I pop in anytime I’m in the area, even when I don’t need anything.
