Oakville Fish & Chips

By far the best Fish & Chip Restaurant I've been to in a long while. I'm a Halibut girl. It's to die for. The staff is so warm and personable. ❤️
Give it a try you won't regret it. Every bite is better than the last. The brownie and ice cream dessert was delicious. This Restaurant gets 5* all day long. 10* if I could give them.

The comment that said it's frozen little piece of pre battered fish is nothing but a miserable complainer all day long. They are not frozen little Patty's you buy at the supermarket.

We ordered a platter for 4 as well as mushrooms and an extra fillet and the fish tacos
everything was super delicious and i am definitely going to come back
the chef was hard working and the waitress was amazingly nice (saturday august 2)

we've had takeout from this fish and chips spot twice now, and it’s now becoming a favorite! the lady who runs the place is always super friendly and welcoming & food is always soo good!

My mother and I did not expect to go for lunch today until we past this restaurant along our way home, and we are so happy that we did.

Going into this place, we thought it would be just take out, but when we saw the tables and the hostess asked us if we would like to dine in today, we of course said yes! We both ordered Halibut Fish and Chips and it was very good; the best part was that the fish was actually crispy, and not mushy/soaked in oil like other places we have been to in the past. Also, compared to other places, the pricing was verh reasonable! The waitress was super nice and always made sure we were happy and had what we needed.

We are 100% planning on going back!

I can’t even rate this!! Ordered through DoorDash for my mother’s birthday, I placed the order several hours in advance to make sure we got it, after waiting for 40 minutes past the preorder time they cancelled the order!! We now didn’t have dinner and it was very late. Not a nice surprise for my mother’s birthday! 🤬 if they knew they would be busy and couldn’t do an order they should not have allowed it on door dash

Amazing service I went and I ordered a fish and chips. I came back and I got it late. It was my fault. They offered to make me a new one at no extra cost. I have never seen service like that before I was going to just take the old one and he assist That I got the experience of tasting the food hot .

My wife and myself decided to try the king fish Friday special but unfortunately we were very much disappointed.

Firstly, it appears the management team way underestimated the amount of take out orders combined with the amount of dine in orders due to the advertisement. We waited not less than 45 minutes from the time we ordered our food and it arriving on our table. We were both very hungry knowing that we planned on having dinner at the restaurant.

Secondly, once we began eating our meals we quickly realized that the crispy king fish and grilled king fish were not properly prepared and marinated for the necessary length of time for it to taste in the way we were accustomed to having it in our Caribbean background.

Lastly, when we were asked by the manager how we were enjoying our meal, we had to be open and honest and mentioned to her how dissatisfied we were about our meals. She did admit that the fish was not properly marinated and prepared and that they did not have time to prepare the fish beforehand due to the overwhelming public response.

The management did have the opportunity to advise anyone ordering the fish that it was not properly prepared/marinated hence misrepresenting Oakville Fish and Chips level of quality and expectation. This was not done, if so we would have made a different choice. I hoping this review will make a difference to the management team and their way of addressing this matter going forward.
