I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The manager, June, was extremely rude and showed a complete lack of customer service skills. I’m genuinely surprised she is managing what is supposed to be a high-end restaurant in Oakville. I’ve been coming here for six years and had never interacted with her before — and honestly, I now understand why.

I’ve visited countless restaurants, from very high-end to casual, and I have never encountered a manager who behaved the way she did. Even at lower-end establishments, managers are usually far more helpful, kind, and attentive to their guests.

Our server was also dismissive and unaccommodating. I simply asked to switch the chicken to a different flavour — something I’ve done many times before without any issue — yet this time I was spoken to rudely, and my request wasn’t even properly heard or considered.

The service felt unwelcoming, and the overall attitude from management and staff was enough for me to decide that I will not be returning. I believe they are slightly racist. Disappointed, because my request wasn’t even about the money it was the way the situation was handled by the staff and so called manager ☹️

I recently came him with my family to sit down and have the lunch special I have been to pearl about ten times in the past all for the lunch special … I had asked them to switch the sauce from lemon to honey sauce on the same chicken for lunch special THEY always have done this before for me I had photo proof to. I was put to the manager some lady name June who was very very rude and didn’t even look like she was paying attention when we spoke to her !

She kept saying they can’t do this even tho in the past this was done numerous times , the waiters and managers here are very rude I WOULD NOT EAT at this restaurant for the location Oakville and the way there restaurant is hidden they should care and want to keep there valuable customers especially since I’ve always recommended them before to lots of people . THEY have not lost me and my friends as customers and I will spread the word not to eat here all because June was being very egotistical and rude.

THE BATHROOMS were also very dirty and over all doesn’t seem like they upkeep fresh food here … from lack of busyness!

I recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere where they have customer service and treat there loyal customers properly , I would really recommend getting someone new to manage a restaurant who knows how to talk and be present with people.

Ordered via uber eats. The portions were so small the takeout container looked like someone had eaten half the food.
$30 for sweet and sour pork and there were under 10 pieces of actual pork in the dish. It was mostly red peppers and onions
The food is tasty but c’mon, that was a total rip off. Food is decent quality but they really do cheap out on the portions.

Food was good, service was good. Pricey for what it is. 6 people and got charged $12.50 for hot tea? Don’t get me wrong I’m more than willing to pay for good food and service but for 6 people it costed each us $40 for dim sum. Maybe it’s due to location, I’d say all the dishes were good, only a handful were ‘extraordinary’ to other dim sum I have had before. But I was disappointed to be charged $12+ for hot tea which is standard to any other dim sum place. I noticed the prices were on the top of the order sheet, probably an update from a menu that didn’t have the prices per size of each dim sum. Prices are 2-3x other dim sum places. Good place to have a small order, I don’t recommend it for a place where you want to enjoy a quantitative meal.

Dim sum was average compared with Richmond Hill or Markham restaurants

So we had no reservations and they said seating in about 30 minutes. Turned into an hour plus. Not worth the wait time and lack of communication.

We visited Pearl Chinese Cuisine in Oakville for a company celebration — a group of about 15. We had a reservation but were split into two tables instead of one long one, which wasn’t ideal for a group function. Service was quite slow and felt fragmented; drinks took a while to arrive, and my blueberry cocktail was disappointing — more like fizzy water with a few berries.

I started with the sweet & sour seafood soup, which was just okay — I’ve had better elsewhere, especially for a restaurant positioned as gourmet. The shrimp fried wontons were the highlight among the starters — really tasty and a great way to kick things off.

The duck platter was very good — tender, flavorful, and nicely complemented by the condiments, sauces, and soft buns. Unfortunately, the lobster was underwhelming — it tasted bland and some pieces didn’t feel fully cooked. The beef plates were excellent: tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The chicken dish, however, felt overdone and didn’t have the authentic Chinese touch I expected.

The pineapple fried rice was fine but arrived too late — after the mains — which threw off the flow of the meal.

Overall, we had a good time as colleagues, but the experience didn’t feel like great value for money considering the gourmet label. I might give them one more chance, but I’m not in a hurry to return.

The food was cold . It took long time to be prepared. If you are looking for a high quality food this is not the place!

Very tasty food, some of the best we've had! It was really busy, given it was father's day, however the service was quick and everything flowed well. The prices were decent but the food portions were on the smaller side. The interior was really nice and their tea was really good! I strongly reccomend their congee, just be prepared that the portion is smaller than usual.

Ruined our family's Mother's Day dinner by forgetting to put in our main orders and serving us just appetizers over the course of an hour. We inquired about what happened, and the servers insisted that we had ordered just a few appetizers for the party of 6 lol. So at that point we decided to leave. Not a word of apology nor any form of compensation offered.
