I had made reservations for 7:30pm, they were short staffed and took 10 mins to even greet us and sit us at a table where we proceeded to sit for another 10mins without anyone even taking a drink order. We could see the severs were short staffed and running all over the place dealing with issues from other customers. We eventually just left since no one was waiting on us.

Despite the best efforts of our wonderful server, our introduction to Pescara was highly disappointing. The restaurant was under staffed, with two servers working the floor, while also acting as host and bartender. Despite the restaurant being only half full, upon arrival, we sat for 20 minutes before we were offered water or drinks. Service continued to be slow for the remainder of the evening (other groups of people left in frustration due to the length of time it took to be served) due to the servers’ need to deal with unhappy customers who had already received their meals. Many meals were taken back to the kitchen to be “fixed”, alternative meals offered and, in at least one instance, an entire table’s bill was waived due to the lack timeliness and poor quality of the food. In our situation, one meal was the Sausage and Rapini and the other the Rigatoni Bolognese. The rapini was, in fact, undercooked broccoli and the dish was aggressively salted, to the point of inedible. The bolognese, similarly, was very salty. Again, the servers worked hard to remedy the situations stemming from the kitchen - at one point in the evening we could overhear the manager yelling at the kitchen staff.

So many great options in Oakville. This is not one of them.

Great service. Ambiance isn’t great. The very loud saxophone player made it feel like an old folks’ home or an elevator and my dinner party had to yell over the table at each other to be heard. The food is grossly overpriced but reasonably tasty, just far too expensive for what it is. I ordered pasta that was soggy it was so over-cooked. The sauce was good but the rest was a disaster. Again, for the price it’s not worth it.

Under-visited spot in the heart of Oakville. The food and service was good. Great concise menu with a focus on seafood. We had the grilled calamari, scallops and caviar, and oysters, all of which were delicious and uniquely presented. For mains we had the Bolognese and the Lobster Linguini, and the whole lobster tail was a great feature of this dish.

There were some glaring issues, and for a restaurant looking to make itself known in Oakville, things that should be addressed. For example - we were told they had run out of coffee? Or, did the staff not want to go through the effort of making a cup (as we were the only patrons left on a Sunday evening)? The general image of the restaurant, both outside and inside, needs some work and needs to look more upscale and classy. At first appearances I thought it may have been a lounge or a bar. It has hard to find the front door. And the bar inside the restaurant looks entirely out of place, like a leftover piece of whatever this place was before. Though seating was nice and I enjoyed the music selection.

It was a raining day in Oakville this past Saturday. We wandered into Pescaraa restaurant for lunch and almost instantly were transported to sunny Italy. The setting was impressive the music soothing and the server amazing. Then came the food! Grilled calamari and mussels to start, followed by salmon in a complimentary Puttanesca sauce. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his lamb and the mash potatoes were unforgettable. Only regret is we couldn’t eat more, we were full and so satisfied. Excellent experience, we will be back!

The ambience was very nice. The jazz music set the mood. They were short staffed at the front of the house but advised us of that. The salads were excellent. We waited almost 2 hours for our mains (Steak and Sea Bass). The food came out lukewarm. The waitress offered free dessert due to the wait time. We declined. There were only 5 tables (15 customers) at the time. Packed up the steak to have it the next day for breakfast. It’s too bad. Maybe just a bad night for them.

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here and we all loved it. We had three different starters and three pasta mains. The lobster linguine and the seafood spaghetti special were amazing. Wonderful service and the restaurant was comfortable with great ambiance. We were asked if we wanted the music volume lowered. Very thoughtful.

Went this past Saturday for dinner with my girlfriend. The food was outstanding, we had the chef special which was spaghetti with a creamy truffle mushroom sauce with grilled shrimp and scallop. By far that was the best tasting dinner we both had in a while. The chef came out to ask if we are enjoying the meal, was very friendly. As was the rest of the staff. Beautiful restaurant with a really nice atmosphere. Definitely will be coming back :)

My husband and I went for date night here for the first time and we had a very good experience! The service was impeccable. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. To start, we ordered the grilled calamari and the scallops and caviar served with Fregula. The fregula (cous cous looking dish) was divine. For our mains, I got the Chilean sea bass with potatoes and veggies and my husband ordered the NY striploin with a lobster tail also served with veggies and potatoes. THEY said the first lobster tail they brought him was too small so they gave him another one on the house! For dessert I had the gelato which was delicious and my husband had the chocolate mousse which he really liked.

Finally the wine we ordered was great too! I recommend this place for sure!
