The rudest server I have seen in a long time. She made it clear as soon as we sat down that we were not welcome, tossed food down in front of us and did her best to be sure she wanted us gone, not hard to understand why the place was practically deserted

Horrible service (1000%,)...the waitress had major attitude, was lazy, didn't care, and seemed as if she didn't even want to be working there or even serving. She even asked us if we wanted anything from the kitchen at 8:30pm, and said it was last call. We asked if they were closing the kitchen, we were never asked if we wanted dessert. And also last call for the bar was at 9:30pm on a Friday night.
On top of that, I made a reservation on a Monday evening for a Friday. Never got a confirmation within 24 hours. So I called Tuesday evening to find out about it. They said they don't check their online reservations 24/7, and reservations are all done online, not on the phone!
I would have rated them with no stars after this experience!
We frequent our local pub often for its relaxed atmosphere, a quick drink or a casual meal. The drink list offers craft beers and a thoughtful selection of quality wines and whisky. Food is high-quality pub staples like burgers and fish and chips. Service is friendly.

The staff was respectful, but the owner made it clear I couldn’t have more than one drink — despite being well within posted business hours. While I was quietly sitting and having that one drink, the server brought the bill without me asking, and the music was turned off mid-drink. The energy made it very clear I wasn’t welcome. Not the experience you expect when trying to enjoy a quick, respectful drink before close. Won’t be returning.
(Update: In response to the owner’s reply…)
It’s unfortunate that instead of accepting valid feedback, you’ve chosen to twist the situation and launch personal attacks.
To clarify:
• At no point was I informed that last call had already happened. I politely asked the server if I could order two drinks. She looked to you and said, “Whatever you decide.” You responded that I could have only one, which I respectfully accepted without issue.
• I sat quietly and peacefully with my drink. Midway through, the bill was brought without me asking, and the music was turned off — making it very clear I was being rushed out, even though I hadn’t done anything wrong or disruptive.
• When I tried to have a normal, respectful conversation with you, you responded dismissively, including saying, “We close when I say we close,” which was unnecessary and condescending.
For the record, I don’t normally post reviews, but I felt compelled to write one this time — not because of the service from your staff (who were polite), but because of your attitude. Your response here — calling me “entitled,” “petty,” and “cowardly” — only reinforces why I felt the need to speak up. It wasn’t about the drink — it was about how you made someone feel unwelcome for no reason.
After reading other reviews, it’s clear this isn’t an isolated experience. I won’t be returning, and I hope others read this and think twice before supporting a place where the ownership treats customers this way.

Three of us arrived at 7 for dinner on Friday night. The pub was half empty, but music was playing and we had been here before and enjoyed it. We had nachos, two orders of fish and chips, and a salad plus drinks. The nachos were cold when they arrived, and the guacamole we ordered never arrived in spite of two waitresses telling us it would come and watching four waitresses gab at the bar for ten minutes. For $29 it was not good value for money. The fish and chips was a much smaller portion than at other pubs we have been to. And disappointing. The salad was fresh and nicely laid out ingredients by ingredient on a long plate…just not really big enough to mix. Our dinner with a modest tip (which is frankly more than it deserved) was $160. I am afraid the service wasn’t good enough, the food wasn’t good enough and the price wasn’t worth it. We won’t be back. Too bad. Love a local pub.

It's just okay. Sat at the bar but there were so many taps that it was hard for the server to pass our plates to us. And we certainly couldn't talk to her. Not a place we will go back to. The bangers & mash were rated pretty good but my hubby but the chicken fingers I had were just those cheap frozen ones...not good
Amazing place. Loved the vibe, the service. The food menu was really good and the food tasty. They have a good variety for vegetarians, which was nice.
bbq chicken flatbread would be better with tomatoes, but all around great place!!
Not a bad place for a quick bite and a drink. NOT more!
Good drinks good service good food. I really enjoyed going here and karaoke. I just wish it was in a better location
