The Pipes and Taps Pub

Three of us arrived at 7 for dinner on Friday night. The pub was half empty, but music was playing and we had been here before and enjoyed it. We had nachos, two orders of fish and chips, and a salad plus drinks. The nachos were cold when they arrived, and the guacamole we ordered never arrived in spite of two waitresses telling us it would come and watching four waitresses gab at the bar for ten minutes. For $29 it was not good value for money. The fish and chips was a much smaller portion than at other pubs we have been to. And disappointing. The salad was fresh and nicely laid out ingredients by ingredient on a long plate…just not really big enough to mix. Our dinner with a modest tip (which is frankly more than it deserved) was $160. I am afraid the service wasn’t good enough, the food wasn’t good enough and the price wasn’t worth it. We won’t be back. Too bad. Love a local pub.

It's just okay. Sat at the bar but there were so many taps that it was hard for the server to pass our plates to us. And we certainly couldn't talk to her. Not a place we will go back to. The bangers & mash were rated pretty good but my hubby but the chicken fingers I had were just those cheap frozen ones...not good

Amazing place. Loved the vibe, the service. The food menu was really good and the food tasty. They have a good variety for vegetarians, which was nice.

bbq chicken flatbread would be better with tomatoes, but all around great place!!

I'm usually here every week, andove the staff and food. Best pub in Oakville!

We have our annual lunch at this place for all the guys who used to go to Myrtle Beach together in March of every year. The food and drinks are great and the staff is really great also.

It's disappointing that a pub wouldn't have more local craft beer options, especially at $10 a pint.

Edit to review...I have bumped review from 4 to 5 stars. While they don't have many local craft beer options, they do carry a varied selection of brews, including several from Europe, and that variety is greatly appreciated. Will be going there more often in the future hopefully!

Utterly miserable owner. Utter turn off for customer service.
Had to endure 20+ screaming children today with zero boundaries and I got schooled on how loud my phone was. Never going back again.
